it was a nice hotel but the layout of the rooms was strange! also the room was very HOT and the fans in my room were broke :( it was a good location and loved the pool and hot tub, and great taco resturant across the street!

This was an older hotel that served its purpose as a clean, economical place to stay. My biggest complaint was that the room was noisy. The doors are hard to close so every time someone went in or came out of their rooms you could hear them slam the door. The ocean view more than made up for it!

We checked into Room 202 , room was great with excellent views.. the only down side was the bed was terrible ( box spring did not support mattress ) sunk to center. Friendly, helpful staff and great location (near restaurants, beach, etc.) Unit was adequate except for outdated kitchen equipment that was also in need of a good cleaning. Microwave didn't work and had to be replaced. Wall to wall carpeting was also not clean.

i am assuming that this is timeshare rentals. the area is centrally located close to supermarket and abc and convience store. i was there to play golf at kapalua (4 miles away) kaainapali is about two miles away. the place was comfortable, the only thing lacking in this unit was no tv in bedroom.

the rooms are ok but the doors slam shut so if you want a peaceful night sleep, forget it. The doors to all the units are very old. To much noice in the general area to truly enjoy the peace and serenity maui has to offer.

The room was very nice. Bathrooms seemed to be recently updated. Kitchen was very nice but could use some work. I.E. toaster did not work. The faucet on the sink needs to be replaced. Very sparce on the utensils, pots and pans. But other then that it had a great view of the ocean from both lanai's. we would gladly stay again!!

Property is on the water and next to a sandy beach. Garden rooms face the interior where there is a beautiful waterfall and coi pond. Great location and view. There is a small barrier on the beach which creates a poollike area to swim for those who are cant swim or are not good swimmers in the big waves. Very secluded beach and it felt like our own private beach

This place is basically renting someone's apartment. Lanai is nice and big. Great views overall. But the sleeping areas suck. Bedroom was so disappointing and the bed was so hard that I slept on the sofa the whole time. This place is great for the location and views. That's about it. Might want to spend a few extra bucks to stay elsewhere.

Good value for the price we paid. The entire hotel is out dated. Very good location, with a very nice view of the ocean. Very nice & helpful staff. Very knowleable concierge. The beach towels were old and frayed. The free WiFi was hard to log on to and had weak signal. Free parking is a plus.

Enjoyed it. Across the street from delicious little seafood, kalua pork joint and little farmers market. RIght on water with a little park right nex to it for kids to play. Beach has lots of coral and some sand. Close enough to several other beaches.

This hotel has a GREAT location to the beach and little farmer's market store. My two friends and I enjoyed our stay here. I will say that the decor is outdated, but honestly, other than that, it was a great set up. Great Hotel Location Island wise, weather's the best. No A/C in rooms but we got use to it, kinda. Great local store/shops walking distance. Beach is nice, buy some water shoes for sure though. Units are individually owned which seems to create a wide variety of reviews. Unfortunately we were placed in a room that I couldn’t believe they would rent to anybody. The first issue with these units is that they have no AC. They do have ceiling fans. The fan in our bedroom worked fine but the second fan barely functioned. The only way to get cool […] air into the unit is to open the sliding doors and the windows in the front. This doesn’t sound so bad until you see how close the parking lot is. Our car was parked no more than 10 feet from the bed. People coming and going all night and they all seem to want to click their lock button a few times just to hear the horn honk. Even with the windows closed the noise from the parking lot led to not much sleep. Unit 114 had touch up paint that didn’t match the original color, tears in the couch, the kitchen cabinets had a laminate cover that was falling apart. The refrigerator was missing paint and had broken shelves. Walls, ceilings, doors were all missing paint. There was some sort of vent in the bathroom that was full of dust but no switch to turn on a fan. I realize this isn’t a five star resort but our unit was a dump. It seemed like the unit was never fully cleaned. The bed was made and new towels were left but I’m not sure that the sheets were ever changed. On the final full day the room wasn’t cleaned at all. I finally called the front desk and got some clean towels. It was a very disappointing experience. Read more

The hotel wasn't anything special but it was more than adequate for our needs. The room was very clean and the kitchen was well stocked however one burner on the stove did not work and unfortunately, it was the largest one. The window in the bedroom is a louver style and offers no privacy when it comes to noise. The front door also offered no noise reduction.The couch was not very comfy but heck, we weren't there very much anyway. We had the garden view which was very nice because they have a beautiful fountain/pond and the floiage around it was awesome.There was no air conditioning which didn;t bother us at all since we are from California where our summer gets up tp 110 so 85 degrees is comfortable to us. We liked the beach because we saw all kinds of fish and turtles. I don't know why other guests didn't like it but, hey, to each their own, right? The hotel was also centrally located and we were very close to almost everything we wanted to do. The staff was so sweet and very helpful. We will definately be staying there again if we go back to Maui. If you go, definately go to their orientation in the morning. January 7 to 28 2012 We have stayed at the Aston Paki Maui on 2 previous holidays, 2 and 10 years ago. We chose it again because of location and the view. We were in room 405 with an oceanfront view. The view and the gardens were the best part of the condo. The room we had was basically old and worn out. We were told it was owned by Canadians and that […] it actually was in better shape now than a couple months ago. The mattresses were horrible, hard and worn out. Our daughters were unable to get any kind comfort or a nights sleep on them (twin beds), our double bed again was in the same poor shape and in desperate need of replacement.The sofa was totally worn out and remainder of furnishings were circa 1970's. The kitchen was minimally supplied with dishes and cutlery and the cooking utensils/knives pathetic. The stove needs replacement of all burners and the fridge door had broken shelf on arrival. The doors need replacement along with the main door handle/lock. Lanai screen needs replacement.Our daily regular daily maid would do what we requested happily but unfortunately the standards set for cleaning were minimal. The front desk ladies were friendly, accommodating and helpful. The gardeners were fantastic with care of the inside,. outside gardens and pool area. The BBQs were great and exceptionally well maintained. The view from our lanai could not have been better. The parking lot was spotless with parking always available. I found that the hotel was probably fairly decent and the price is OK, but it seemed that our room was a condo purchased by someone else and the cleaning staff were not very good at cleaning; the fans were very dusty, there were marks on the walls and ceiling, even the light switches had a layer of dust on them. Staff at desk was nice but when you walked away you could hear them talking about you and laughing. Also there was no one there after 10 pm and if you had a problem you were out of luck! If you liked climbing over ROCK to get in the water it would be fine! Pool was not heated and it felt like ice!
