It was okay. The room was nothing special for the price. There were some spots on the sheets that we had changed. The shower was the redeaming quality of the room. Overall, I would stay there again but its not anything great.

The hotel was nice although we were told a mini refrig. Would be brought to our room to keep left overs. The refrig. Never materialized. They also should give you more than two servings of coffee, cream, and sugar for the morning. Disappointed.

This was the BEST workout facility I've ever seen in a hotel. The pool was minimalist, but swimmable (18 meters, only 3 ft deep but better than no water). The workout equipment was closer to a workout facility than a hotel gym - free weights, treadmills, bikes, ellipticals, weight machines, sauna, steam room. We had a room with no functioning toilet or heating system. Gave the front desk 5 hours to fix and when we returned to the room nothing had been fixed and the room was not made up. Took them 20 minutes to switch us to another room. Very unhappy with the service for a Westin. Will never stay there again. Many other choices in Pittsburgh.

Our stay at the Westin was an outstanding experience. The staff at the registration desk were friendly and had us in our room in no time. Our room was spacious and the bed was extra comfortable. it was fine except for the lack of hot water. my husband took a shower in the evening & I took one in the morning, and we both had literally less than 2 minutes of hot water. For that reason alone we will not be staying there again.

My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The room was very nice and clean. We especially enjoyed the available workout facility. My only complaint was that our pillows were too soft (for my liking). We would definitely stay here again.

Thought it was excellent. Close to all the places we wanted to go or just a short cab ride. We went to North Shore to McFadden's, Rivers, Primannti Bros @ 4AM, then got a late checkout for 1PM. Great time, great staff!!

Nice lobby, clean and comfortable room and bed, but upon walking into my room for the first time I could smell lingering cigarrette smoke in a non-smoking room. Whatever they did to mask it did not work very well. Once the A/C was cranked up the smell became less noticeable.

Excellent experience! I asked for a high floor with a good view and we got a room on the top floor (26) with a panoramic view of downtown Pittsburgh. Very friendly staff. When I told them the bathroom light switch didn't work, someone immediately came to replace it while we were out for dinner.

Location was ideal for the purpose of our visit since it was adjacent to the convention center. Bed was heavenly. Had by far the finest fitness facilities and pool area. The major drawback was that we had no hot water when we wanted to shower at night. When calling to the front desk we were told just to let it run for 5 minutes. We ran it for 20 minutes […] yet still not hot. Called back to front desk and was told it would be a while longer before it would be fixed. No offer to compensate for the inconvenience. That was disappointing. Otherwise, I may consider staying at the same location in the future, but lack of concern over no hot water was a drawback. Read more

As a frequent traveler (~100 days/year), I was disappointed to find this Hyatt property on the low end of the Hyatt spectrum. The self-parking garage beneath the hotel consistently smelled of sewage, and did not have in/out privileges. Generally a nice hotel, the location isn't the best one and the rooms are nothing special. The breakfast restaurant are a nightmare because of some very strange vibrations, and a deep hum from some big washing machines at the floor above the restaurant. Took a few minutes to figure out you need to leave your room key card in the slot next to the light switch to keep the AC and the lights on. I was so looking forward to staying one night at the Westin Hotel but it came as a big let down for me. I would have rather have stayed at the Hampton Inn. The jacuzzi looked yellow/brownish, which did not tempt me to go in. The shampoo bottle was used from previous guests. Overall, it stunk, as in it was a big disappointment. The major issue was with the elevators. The main bank had five elevators however only 2 were functional. One was reserved exclusively for a wedding and the other was the only remaining elevator to service the whole hotel. It could take five or ten minutes just to get an elevator. Not sure what was the problem.

We really enjoyed the staff. We had stayed at the Renaissance in the past, but the price was very high for the night we were looking to stay. The Westin proved to be a economical and excellent alternative, and we will be looking to return in the future.
