Hotel was nice, staff helpful, wish it was totally non smoking but smell in our room was livable. Price is a bit steep for a place to lay your head. "Nice place to stay."
The bathtub faucet would not turn off, and a plumber was called immediately and the faucet was promptly repaired. Only problem was the odor of cigarette smoke was present, even though we were in a non-smoking room. I believe we were on a non-smoking floor, but there was a definite cigarette smoke odor. We liked this hotel but there were a couple of issues. First, the elevator button wasn't working so we had to wait an extra 30 minutes for the woman at the front desk to explain to us the trick to get the elevator to come down. "A good place for the price"
We stayed here over a holiday weekend and it was a perfect place to visit both Plymouth and Newport. The hotel was comfortable but a little tired looking in parts. It was generally clean. Overall, this is an average Hampton Inn, but two things do stand out. The shuttle service is excellent, both in picking up at the airport and taking guests to other locations such as restaurants and car rental offices. This hotel was very conveniently located and staff were very pleasant. Apparently they just bought new pillows, but they were unbelievably lumpy...even the children protested....as well as too thick to be comfortable. "Holiday Inn Express Hotel/stes Middleboro Raynham"
Where do I start? Firstly I will say that the front desk staff were very nice and accommodating. After reading good reviews about this hotel, I was looking forward to staying there. It was all the little things that were a little disappointing. On day one when we went for breakfast, all the hot items were gone and it took 25 minutes to refill them. […] The other days, it was that they ran out of cinnamon rolls, cream cheese, muffins, and the pancake machine worked 1 day out of the 6 we were there. The hottest day of the year, the pool broke. Every night I had to go the front desk, and request extra towels, there were 5 of us, and everyday they gave us only 3. Along with that I had to request extra TP twice because they seemed to only give us one full roll at a time, they didnt replace the kleenex, and I had to ask for pillows and blankets for the pullout. The next day they took the blanket away, and I had to get it again. When it came time to doing laundry, the front desk ran out of quarters. Other than that, the location was great, near all the main expressways, near alot of the local restaurants which were excellent, the hotel was clean, so maybe they were just having a bad week. Easy to get to from the highway. Within 20 minutes from Plymouth, if you need to be there but don't want the hustle and bustle of being within the tourist area. The hotel staff was very friendly.
