"Unique"
I've stayed here once before and the scenery is amazing. Especially if your facing the Aquarium side. But some parts of the room needed to be dusted.... Seriously. But overall they have solved the parking problem. It's a great price, and the bar is really good. Cheers!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great weekend getaway"
My husband and I stayed one night on the Delta Queen. It was a weekend getaway for his 40th Birthday. We Loved the Delta Queen! It was like stepping back into the 1920's. The location is amazing. Right next to Coolidge Park. Walking distance to a bunch of great restaurants. We even walked across the pedestrian bridge into downtown Chattanooga. Our room […] was great! Very clean. Bed was super comfy. I loved that there was no phone or TV in the room. The boat was very interesting to walk around and see all the original decor. The morning breakfast was awesome. Great selection and way better than most hotel breakfasts. We are definitely looking forward to staying on the Delta Queen again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Cool for a One-Time Stay"
The Delta Queen is a really cool, historical place to stay. The pros: best breakfast I have had at a hotel EVER; cute little bar / restaurant; hot water, air conditioning, water pressure, and small space heater are adequate; staff members are all super-friendly, very helpful people; beds are very comfortable; the place is not difficult to find; the […] surrounding area on the North Shore has some great restaurants and a drug-store close by; it is a very unique place to stay for adventurous folks. The cons: our room was very small; the window unit air conditioner was disgustingly filthy; the restroom needed some repair work; the shower seemed to have been designed for children, with the water hitting us at roughly our belly buttons. Overall, it was like taking a step back in time, and we were glad we went and saw it, but we probably won't stay again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good Experience but be prepared"
The Delta Queen is a fun theme destination. Staying on a boat is really neat. but be prepared to deal with some of the conveniences of a rustic environment. No hot water for showers, and the "all-hands-on-deck" alarm went off on us at 8am. soooo nice place, if you can roll with it. great location. you can walk to a lot of good restaurants and shops […] . "Valentines on the Delta Quees"
My fiancee and I stayed on the Delta Queen for valentine's. It was something different and he had wanted to do that for a while. we had a twin room... If you are going to stay I suggest gettiing a larger room the rooms are very small but clean.... also if you stay in winter pack some warm clothes. It was a unique experience and if we got a larger room […] would do it again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Chattanooga vacation"
Very nice stay on a historical site. The previous online review helped. Bringing a personal heater was a good idea. The water was cold and did not get hot. The room was cold at night. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Nice view of the river, bridges, and city from the room.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Getaway"
Everything was very good, Except the condition of not enough hot water for showers. Just a thought about the green enviroment idea, they should look into retro hot water solar panels up on the top roof to help supplement heat for the water system. Good PR for them to do something like this. Great location next to the park and downtown attractions in […] Chattanooga. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Just OK"
Queen bed in delux room was just two twins pushed together. The 'great' three window view was only one window and it had a window air conditioner in it. Free breakfast was just coffee or tea. No heat at all in room....very cold in there. No code was given it get in gate, and had to scale the security fence and climb the side of boat to get back on. "right in the middle of town"
the rooms were very cozy and intimate, didnt mind not having a tv or phone because it made us get out and explore the city more.. Breakfast was wonderful, best i had in town.. Only two drawbacks i can name are: the first morning had no hot water and had to move rooms. Also at dinner that night on the delta everytime i wanted a coke or when we had to […] pay the waiter had to go all the way to the bar on the third deck and service took forever with my food not being what I expected.. Location of hotel was great, right next to shopping and dinning.. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"A piece of Nostalgia"
For anyone wanting to stay in a piece of nostalgia, this is the place. We found it quite charming with old world flavor. The interior of the ship was in very good shape for its age. The room (bunk bed cabin) was very clean and roomy for what I imagined it might be. The top bunk is smaller than the bottom bunk and I was always in fear that I might roll […] right off. The bartender and wait staff were very friendly. The check in people were also informative except for one lady was rude when we wanted to leave baggage when we arrived early. She was sort of snotty to us, I felt. They have no way of storing your bags if you get to the ship early and want to enjoy Chattanooga before your check in time. The exterior deck areas are in desparate need of cob web removal. they were everywhere....come on maintenance people, it might take a couple of hours to get rid of all the cob webs on the decks. Once you enter the boat, it even smells old, but you get used to it. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"A great experience"
Booked a night on the Delta Queen for a quick getaway trip to Chattanooga after spending the day whitewater rafting on the Ocoee. I have to admit my expectations were high before arriving at the DQ,and thank goodness they were all met!! A very unique experience that I would HIGHLY recommend. Yes, the rooms are small. Yes, there is a somewhat musky smell […] of old wood from the 1920's. But what the ship/hotel lacks in technology it makes for in nostalgia, ambiance, and scenic views. We ended up with a sundeck room with a view across the river towards the aquarium. It was AMAZING. Two rocking chairs sitting outside our room were icing on the cake to enjoy the beautiful evening weather and views. The room IS tiny.....but it is a ship from the 1920's. It really does take you back in time. Even though the room is small, the beds were EXTREMELY comfortable....one of the best night's sleep I've had in a long time. The shower is comical for anyone over 6'0" but it's manageable. I'm 6'2" and it was somewhat reminiscant of Buddy the Elf showering in the north pole. Breakfast was average, but can't complain since it was included in the price of the room. The staff was friendly and courteous. The ship is located in a great location and is right next to a park and also the pedestrian bridge which allows access to the "south shore" where the restaurants and the aquarium is. Will definitely visit again.... Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Delta Queen"
Use of the Valet Parking a must. Rooms are small but quaint. Location is terrific for walking to both South and North shore locations. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful. Dining and lounge options were limited, and we missed the live entertainment on the weekend. I would recommend to friends that are not too particular about amenities and comfort, […] but I must say the bed was more comfortable than I expected. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Gotta do it!"
Keep in mind this is an antique paddle wheel riverboat. It was very neat staying on the boat. The history, the famous people who have stayed there. Breakfast came with the room and it was as great, plenty of hot food and kept it coming. Wait staff was friendly and efficient. A very unique stay. One bump, we ask for a Queen bed and got two twins, "Romantic […] Weekend". They were going to make it a Queen but I had to make that happen. Quite a feat spinning the twins around so we could still get in the bathroom. Oh well, added to the experience plus I got a free hat out of the deal. I'll be back, maybe Il get a free t-shirt next time:~} Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Unique Experience"
The Delta Queen provided quite a unique vacation experience. The DQ provides an enjoyable nostalgic environment of an antqiue mini-cruise ship(commissioned in 1890). While the cabin quarters are small as expected and do not have TVs, their are plenty of board games to enjoy in the common areas, Wi-Fi, and HDTVs upstairs in the Texas Lounge bar. Breakfast […] (included in the price) downstrairs in the Orleans Room was much better than expected. Beyond the friendly staff and relaxing envinronment, the DQ is docked at Coolidge Park in a terrific location to enjoy the park or the shops and restaurants on Frazier Ave or only a short walk across the Walnut Street pedestrian bridge to the Art District or downtown attractions. The Delta Queen was a conveinent, affordable and fun way to enjoy all the "Scenic City" has to offer downtown. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Very friendly and helpful crew"
The Delta Queen in Chattanooga, TN was close to and within walking distance of the major attractions in downtown area, Right next to Coolidge Park on the North Shore, where there are always activities going on and places to eat and shop. Pedestrian bridge to downtown area is right there. Our room was small, but we did not get the top of the line. About […] the size of what we had on a Carnival cruise. Room was cozy and wood paneled walls and ceiling. Very interesting and fun. This boat has seen a lot of history. "delta Queen in Chattanooga"
We stayed in a bunk bed room- very tiny and a bit hot. We had to get a fan to be comfortable. But the ship itself and staff were very nice. They had a high tea and breakfast buffet was pretty good. Would stay there again.. but spend a little more and get bigger room.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Delta Queen entertainment ?"
What I really want from the Delta Queen is a first class dinner in the New Orleans Room, and a first class blues artist for entertainment. I don't know if this will ever happen.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Delta Queen"
It's definitely different. Sitting on the deck overlooking the river at night is romantic and not something you ususally get at a hotel. The room was very small and the bathroom was about like a phone booth. It doesn't really "feel" like a hotel room at all due to the size and layout. It was OK for one night but I wouldn't have wanted to stay a second […] night. Also, it appears to be not handicap accessible, which didn't affect us but is something to consider for guests who need these accommodations. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"The Stateroom is a must..."
We stayed aboard the Delta Queen in June when the weather was a bit warm, the Stateroom that we had was very lovely and comfortable for two people. It is amazing how small doorways are and how steep stairways were when this paddle wheel was built over 100 years ago. The Delta Queen remains docked, but there are wonderful views from her decks along with […] a lovely bar and small dining area for evening meals. The hot breakfast in the morning had a lot of variety and is served buffet style in the formal tea room below the main deck area. This is a great romantic weekend get-away for those living in the Nashville, Knoxville, Birmingham or Atlanta areas or anywhere in between since the drive is less than 2 hours from those metro areas. THis stay was perfect for a short visit. The bed was extremely comfortable, everything clean, nice staff, and perfect location. You walk across the bidge to all the attractions. Rooms small but to be expected on an old steam boat. Would do again for sure!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"no a/c"
The hotel staff is amazing. Only problem was that the A/C was not working, and it was over 90 during the day and low 80's at night. We were moved to another room the second night. If it was not for the great staff the stay would have been terrible. If the A/C worked the place is pretty coolGenuine Hotels.com guest review
