I was looking for an overnight stay place on way to Florida. The first room we got didn't have running water. Then everyday we had to go to the front desk for extra coffee. They then wanted us to switch rooms again but only if we stayed an extra day (at an addition fee). "Great Value"
The hotel/motel was great for the money. The building is older, but the room looked to have been recently painted in nice colors, and the room and bathroom were very clean. The room was in very good condition. Having a Waffle House right next door meant we did not sample the free breakfast. There was a dog walking area close to our room. Outside of the great rate and location of this hotel, it's fairly low-end. Exactly what I was looking for and expected. An economical, clean and well appointed location for visiting the attractions in Chattanooga. The room we had was small but adequate. "Choose another hotel ......."
Check in was smooth. We arrived one hour earlier than "check-in" time last year when we used this hotel, and the desk clerk was adamant that there were no clean rooms. Not at all accommodating. Again this year we arrived about an hour earlier than check in time and the desk clerk was very pleasant and allowed us to enter our room. Our room was on the […] side of the hotel that faced the interstate....... there was some highway traffic noise. We went sightseeing and when we returned to get ready for bed, we found on the floor next to the bed an old juice bottle and a bunch of crumbs as though the room hadn't been thoroughly cleaned. The room was otherwise clean but rather outdated. The towels and wash cloths were very thin and ROUGH! The breakfast in the morning was inadequate. We got to the breakfast area, which was very small, about 7 am, and there were only 2 yogurts and they were never refilled. There was a toaster and no toast or bagels or muffins or anything to toast.The waffle maker didn't cook the waffles completely so they were still raw in the middle(not the hotel employee's fault, but I did tell them about it). The juice machine dispensed room temperature juice. The room price was cheaper than being right downtown Chatanooga, but still rather pricey for being so far away from the city.
