"Convenient and comfortable"

"Probably not the best time..."
We probably didn't pick the best time to stay at this hotel as they were doing repairs and even had a broken water pipe. One day the water was off from 1:00pm to 5:00pm or a little more. The room was nothing special, just average and the front desk was okay. The maid service was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was average, nothing special. Nice hotel. Have stayed many times. Convenient to both downtown Galena and Dubuque (15-20 minutes). Breakfast was somewhat plain. Waffles were the only hot item. Other items included cereal, bagels, fruit, yogurt, etc. Didn't use the pool.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The rust in the water was the worst i have ever seen. You had to let the shower run for 5 minutes to get get rid of the brown color. Overall the hotel was clean and comfortable. The only complaint I have is that on the first night of our stay there was a wedding with a lot of the wedding guests staying at the hotel. I would expect some partying to be going on after the wedding but not yelling, screaming, and running up and down the hallways until 3:00 AM. "Ramada Galena - good value"
