"Family Outing"
Very nice for an older facility. Pool was well kept and the breakfast was fantastic. The only negative feedback I have is that the housekeeping staff is a little over eager. This is my second stay at the Riverpark and I'm very pleased, for the most part. The rooms are big and the grounds are well taken care of. I would not have paid full price for this hotel, but the deal on hotels.com was too good to pass up. The hotel is in a great location - right off I-10 and within walking to downtown Tucson. Room was very big, had everything you needed...i.e. desk, sofa with coffee table, microwave, lots of storage, iron and board, big bathroom, and your very own back […] patio. I'm not sure if the part of town is dodgy or not - I had no problems with safety, but I did notice the hotel did a really extensive job of having lots of extra doors, fences, walls, etc. Pool and hot tub. LOTS of outdoor seating and banquet areas. Free printing and computer. Bar in lobby, fire always going. I think the really unique thing about this place is their breakfast...it is phenomenal for a free hotel breakfast. Tons of hot and cold items, plus really nice seating outside and inside. The price was right. Free Breakfast was a plus traveling with teenagers. Rooms could use some remodeling. Bath didn't drain properly in one room and we had to change our other room because of more severe plumbing issues. Sound proofing was not great. Everything was good about this place. Close to town center. Bar and food on site. Breakfast was excellent - really liked the sausage. Very nice to have a meal included in hotel price and not a cheap meal. Staff were pleasant and some went out of their way to accomodate. Only problem - I had to slide the key several times before the door to the room […] would open. I advised the maid, but it was not fixed. She appeared to think it was normal. We were very pleased to find this oasis in the desert. The room we had was right on the courtyard.
