We have included all charges provided to us by this hotel. However, charges can vary, for example, based on length of stay or the room you book.
"big surprise!"
Much cheaper choice compared to those hotels nearer to downtown. Just renovated so rooms are very clean and comfortable. Only flaw is their breakfast. Could have been better.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Response by Extended Stay America - Boston - Waltham - 32 4th Ave Conan - Thank you for taking the time to share your comments. I am thrilled that we were a positive surprise for you and do hope that you will consider us again next time you are coming to the area. I am sorry the grab-and-go breakfast wasn't what you were expecting. It is a new feature at our hotel, and we are excited to be offering it. Of course, all of our rooms have kitchens, so this is a great alternative, if needed. Again, thank you for your comments, and we do hope to have the opportunity to see you again.
"Extended Stay America, Waltham MA - renovated"
The front desk people were very helpful. Unfortunately, there are no good restaurants within easy walking distance, and some nights I'm just too tired to cook. My only complaint about the hotel is that some of the public areas (hallways, lobby) aren't vacuumed often enough, which makes an otherwise pleasant hotel look a bit shabby. The rooms, however, […] are very clean, which I guess is more important. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Good for what it is"
If you need to have a room with a little kitchen as we did for dietary reasons, then this hotel does just fine. While not as luxurious as a Marriott Residence Inn, for instance, the Extended Stay is clean and adequate. This hotel really stands out in terms of service though. The staff could not be nicer or friendlier... they go above and beyond to p […] lease. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"A good deal, once you find the place"
This hotel offered the best rates in the area, but its location-- buried in hundreds of acres of office park with somewhat mazelike streets-- make it time-consuming and challenging to find, even in broad daylight. (Who imagined that 4th Ave would be AT A RIGHT ANGLE to 3rd Ave? Pay close attention to Google Maps to make sure you're turning into the […] right street in the first place.) Another caveat: the included "breakfast" is about as minimal as it gets-- think pre-packaged muffins and Coffee-Mate. (What's IN that stuff, anyway?) That said, the room was clean, quiet, comfortable, and the fully equipped kitchen is bound to prove handy for those who actually are staying a while (I was only there overnight.) Another plus is the close proximity of one of the best places for dinner in town, Naked Fish. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"In process of total renovation"
Although the hotel was in quite a bit of disarray due to it being renovated, my room, which had been completed, was much nicer than during previous stays. The bedding was new; the flat screen TV was much larger than the old TVs, and it appeared that pretty much everything had been replaced. I'd definitely stay here in the future.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"disappointed"
Hotel was under "renovations", but when we booked the room in Sept we were told the renovations would be done by the time we were booked. Room was fine, but (a) the TV/ dvd player was ancient and not working, (b) the room was so hot that we had to leave the window open overnight to keep the room at 70 degrees with the heat turned off, and (c) the hallway […] was littered with debris of the "renovations". The exercise room and laundry were both closed for "renovations" as well. Good value if the above is all rectified. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Convenient Location"
The hotel is right off of I-95 / Route 128 on the outskirts of Boston. Close to the Mass Pike and public transportation. The room included a work desk, sofa and kitchen with refrigerator, microwave and dishwasher. The only negative was that the toilet was very low, which may make it difficult for some to get up from. Overall, very nice and a quiet […] location. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"peaceful and private stay"
The place was clean, quiet and private. The best part for me is that there was a fully equiped kitchen where I could cook my own food since I have a hard time eating out due to food allergies. It was the perfect settings for me.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"With more attention to details, a good place"
The batteries in the TV remote were dead. The shower handle came apart in my hand as I turned it on. The sink had black mold under the sink rim. There was no pad or pen to write down a note or phone number. There was no plastic bag for dirty laundry. I gave this run-down to the manager in the morning and he said he'd follow up.Genuine Expedia guest review
The quality of service of the hotel was very poorly especially in cleanliness in our room , and also the customer service on the desk.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"I would consider a return stay, but...."
My review of my one night stay is definitely "mixed". It's a shame that I have to give a "2" for the cleanliness of the room. I actually thought the bathroom was "very clean" and the rest of the room was "fine". However, as I was exiting the bathroom I could see a beige blob under the bed. It turned out to be a half-eaten dinner roll. I disposed of […] it, but it was a turn off. Regarding the comfort of the room, I was very disappointed that MSNBC was not on the TV channel line up. I was annoyed that FOX and CNN were available but not even a regular NBC channel was available. A screen message indicated that the regular NBC would be available in the future. But no MSNBC. And CNBC is a financial network., not something I'm interested in. I did use the lobby restroom which was in good condition and the grade of the coffee at the AM "grab and go" was quite good. "Dissapointed for sure!!"
Room was very small, we were staying for a week in Boston for a day summer camp... the room never got vaccummed and when asked about cleaning , I was told I could use their vaccum. You have to get your own clean towels, unless you want to wait until 3 for clean ones. When we arrive the first day, the room was gross, their was hair all over the place […] in the bathroom area. Tub did not drain well either. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Unclean"
The guest room and common areas (lobby/elevators/hallways) are not clean. Our room had dog feces in the corner next to the couch. It was petrified so I know it had been there for a while. This hotel served it's purpose for a quick trip when I could find no other room in the Waltham area, but I wouldn't make reservations there.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Convenient"
Floor was a little dirty, carpet seemed old & bunched up under foot, which is a problem since I stretch in my room. Overall very nice. Close to Boston. I would stay again.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Room smelt really bad"
The price was right but my gosh the room smelt bad. Not sure if it was cleaning products they were using or if the room I was in had smokers before me, but the smell hit you hard when you entered the room, but somehow I got used to it. The stay there was good, if you take away the bad smelling room!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Extended Stay Deluxe, Waltham, MA"
My first floor room needed updating. The sofabed was soiled in spots and the bedroom rug was fraying, with a hole in it that looked like burned rubber. The bottom sheet had a small hole, as well. The room was clean enough, however, and very quiet, as I requested. My main complaint is that they use a very strong smelling room deodorizer that I found […] very irritating to my eyes and throat. The smell faded somewhat after a few hours with the window open and the air conditioner running, but it still pervaded the room when I was trying to sleep. To his credit, the manager said he would find me another room that might not have such a strong smell because it was cleaned a day or two ago and not used, but I decided to stay put when I returned that night, thinking I could deal with it. The room rate is one of the lowest around Boston for this kind of accommodation, but I wouldn't go back unless I learned it was renovated and the cleaning staff did not use that chemical deodorizer. "better hotels in area"
We stayed here because our usual hotels were booked or very high priced the weekend of Boston Marathon. Staff at front desk was ok. Walking into room, there was broken and open switchplate near door with wires showing. Bathroom was not thoroughly cleaned, and towels were thin and hard. Bed was saggy and whole room looked like ti needed an update. There […] was a kitchen as advertised, but we really didn't need it. Breakfast was not advertised with good reason. They had wrapped bagels and banana nut muffins, period. Coffee and some fresh fruit, including rock hard pears. Almost no room to sit. There are better hotels right in the area. Room in not clean, maid doesn't do good job bottom line. Dishwasher doesn't operate properly so dishes is not clean, fridge makes too loud noise obviously not being maintained. "Every amenity you could want in a room"
These rooms have a 2-burner oven, coffee maker, microwave, kitchen sink with garbage disposal, full-sized fridge, couch, desk, TV, iron, and bed. They are built for week long stays, and have everything we needed for a 2 night stay. "Extended Stay Deluxe Boston - Waltham - wasteland."
The hotel sits smack in the middle of a suburban highway wasteland (forget about walking anywhere), but not far by car from downtown Waltham, Boston or several universities. Also, the price was right (relative to better hotels) but the cleanliness of the room left something to be desired. There were crumbs in the pullout sofa & crumbs & pills of some […] sort underneath. What's more, the sofa bed was extremely uncomfortable.... The entrance to the hotel was dreary & looked like a housing project. Ditto for the breakfast lounge. This is probably what hotels in the Soviet Union looked like, but that's really just a matter of taste. For being the cheapest hotel I could find on the holiday weekend, it was fine & served its purpose. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"A close dump"
I was not impressed with this hotel. Our initial room (non-smoking) smelled like an ashtray and then we were assigned a different room. The room smelled and the bed was not very comfortable. The front desk person was nice but the rest of the staff was unwilling to help us with our room. The location is nice, but my advice would be to stay at the Homestead […] hotel (which is not very nice either, but cheaper) if you insist on staying at Waltham. I stayed here because all of the hotels in Boston were crazy expensive. There was a stench in my room that was disguting. The clientele was questionable at best. "Good Enough"
Room was what I expected in size and was clean. Downfalls: Hard to get to from freeway and tucked away behind other hotels where you can't see it, spent hour looking for it, called hotel for help and was put on hold for them never to return. Air conditioner in our room was right next to hideabed, so either my kids froze, or we burned up on other side […] of room. 10 min after we arrived my kids turned on t.v. About every 30 seconds the t.v. would click off. I reported this immediately. Desk clerk offered to change our room but we had already unpacked. He said he would get someone on it first thing in morning. We were there for three days and no one ever showed to fix it. We were gone most of the time so not a big deal, but some tube time before bed would have been nice. Continental breakfast is just packaged muffins, danishes and coffee. My kids and I don't drink coffee and they didn't supply milk or juice so we had to buy o.j. out of coke machine for $1.75 a bottle. No breakfast on the weekends which I thought was weird. We were there three days. It was fine since I'm not real picky, but would not have wanted to stay longer that that. General location was good. Just 15 min from Boston in good traffic. Much cheaper than staying in Boston. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Hotel Stay"
Ifelt comfortable staying in this hotel, however, it does need some upgrading. For example, the wall close to the tub/shower showed much water damage. I spent the first night in ankle deep water in the shower due to a clogged drain. However, maintenance was prompt in responding to the problem the next morning. The reception desk staff was professional […] and accomodating. The room was adequate, howvever, more attention should be made to cleanliness (obvious old crumbs and debris on metal bedframe, dust underneath the bed). "You get what you pay for."
While the price was cheap, you certainly get what you pay for and no more. The small sofa in the room and bed cover were worn and dingy looking. Unless you stay more than 7 nights, you get no room cleaning, no change of towels, no bed made. There is no shampoo provided - a first for me. The front desk clerks were pleasant, but did not know directions […] to things and certainly did not offer to look anything up.
