"Nothing works"
Lobby, restaurant upgraded and very nice. Food good. Outside appearance old. Room looked O.K. but nothing worked. The room was too hot so I tiried to adjust the temperature but fluctuated all over the place so I turned it off. Internet did not work- too far out for the wireless to work but the wired did not work either. Switched to TV- remote: had to […] press down on button hard then takes forever to change channels. Shower handle had to spin counterclockwise about 10 revoultions to get water to come out. Alam clock would not set. light flickering in bathroom all the time. "Disappointing in the cost for the stay"
I had to pay for internet in the room but internet is free when in the lobby area. How much sense does that make, none! Then I had to pay for parking, 20 per night and parking was limited. When I first checked in they didn't offer me the warm cookies as promised, I had to ask for them the following day. Its a very busy hotel and the hallways are very […] cool/cold. My room bathroom floor tile was cold as well and seems to not heat up. There was no mini refrigerator or microwave in the room so all the left over food I had had to disregarded the following morning. I felt this stay was a money waste. "Stayed to go on our Alaska Cruise"
The stay at the hotel was great...no problems. The problem happen when we decided to come back and stay after our cruise for two more nights. We ask the manager to give us the same rate, so we would not hv to go somewhere else. The hotel manager said, they could'nt cuz during the week the rate were higher, which I already new. I said, that I new that...that […] was the reason I was asking for the same special rate so we could stay again. I was denied. SO we went somewhere else. Money was more important to the hotel.....then giving us the special rate. The hotel didnt care if we stay or not a couple of more days. Anyway, we saved $90 at another hotel in the area and it wasa great hotel. And I already know that the hotel will not post this review. ""Money sucking hole""
There was a spider's nest behind the door and when we called to have them clean it up, they didn't do it. Also, when trying to leave the parking lot after paying for 3 days, we couldn't get out and had to go to 2 kiosks to get out. Thirty dollars daily add on for parking and internet usage. Will not go back to this hotel.Genuine Expedia guest review
"smelly noisy hotel"
I had an end room on the ground floor of wing 3 and it was cold, noisy, and next to the parking lot. The doors to the rooms around me slammed until well after midnight. Then all I heard was foot and car traffic until I gave up and drank coffee and watched the news until my flight out that morning. I will never stay here again, if I can help it.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Funky"
First, this hotel had a funky unclean smell to it. No free wifi, no continental breakfast, no phonebook, and I was required to pay to park my rental car for $20.00 a day. On the good side, the location to the airport was spot-on, and the free airport shuttle really did run all of the time! Next time, I'll stay at a Super Eight, or some other budget […] hotel...I will get more bang for my buck. I won't stay there again even though I got a killer deal through Expedia. "HIDDEN FEES"
I was charged over $20.00 per night extra to park one car in one space with the rental of a room. Charging extra for a parking spot for my car is rediculous. The room eas very small as well, and a movie ( not a dirty movie ) was $16.99. I will never stay there again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Room was very musty, a lot of noise from street"
We checked in and they did not give us the same quality room we had on our first visit. The room smelled musty and was VERY far from the elevator. It was located on the street side of the hotel and there was a lot of noisr. The restaurant is over priced with a very poor menu.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Overpriced for what you get"
For the price of this hotel, it is hard to justify why there is no free wi-fi and no free parking. I get more from a lower priced hotel, as well as a free breakfast. The location is good, but breakfast cost me over $50 from their in-house restaurant for three. If I stayed there again, which is unlikely, I would just walk across the street to Denny' […] s. Your checkin in was awful again. A velvet rope and line to check in would be great. As it is now there is a free for all. I was confronted by another guest in the unclear line. My disabled wife was struck by another guest trying to jiockey a position in the check in line. It took 25 minutes to check in at midnight. Hire a crew to meet your guest needs. All in all the hotel is ok, however, I missed the fine print that the parking was $20.00 additional per night and the in and out with all the gates and finding a spot to park was not expected. "The stay at Double Tree in Seattle"
The stay was ok, and I do mean just ok. I am a HHonors member and I had to pay for Internet connectivity. I have never had to pay for connectivity in any HHonors hotel. I was very disappointed. The hotel appears to be under some rentovations. In fact some of the elevators were inoperable. This will be one hotel I will never stay in again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel room did not resemble the pictures at the hotel website. The room was old and and tired looking, especially the bathroom. "Watch out for added expenses at this place!"
Although I initially like this hotel I was shocked to find out it cost me nearly $20.00 per night as a hotel guest to park. (Interestingly the Park & Fly up the road was only $9 and change per night!) Also, internet access will cost you if you want it in your room. You will have to go out of your room and to public areas to get wifi. Don't know if it […] costs there too but I was too tired to make the trek to the lobby to find out. The price of the hotel is attractive but it's a bum deal when you add up the extras. Also, although the room was nice, they need to get a little Tilex action going in the bathroom. The grout was looking a bit moldy. Also, there's construction going on in the front of the hotel that's been carrying on since last spring when I stayed at this hotel back then. Probably will not return to this hotel. I don't like hidden costs. Seems dishonest..... Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nailed for Parking"
Was charged for parking at this hotel -- $20 for less than a day. No indication on Hotel.com site or Doubletree site that I would be charged for parking. There was plenty of parking area in the parking lots around the hotel, so why the need to charge customers. Otherwise, the hotel was OK.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Room was small. The heating system was insufficient so for the most part the room was cold and so was the hallway. We were supposed to have a queen bed but it was a full or double bed. Nice view of the parking lot.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not Next Time..."
I think I'm understanding of Expedia's rating now. This is about the 3rd time I used a 3 star property and felt VERY disappointed. Of course I realize it depends on what you are accustomed to. "Double Tree From the 1970's"
Maybe it's just me, but the hotel is really old and aged. I'm used to newer looking / feeling hotels so I was not at all satisfied with the hotel. No refrigerator in the room. They have upgraded certain things in the rooms like the carpet and beds, furniture, etc. but overall it smells old and you can tell it's an aged hotel by the dark colored wood […] doors and the wallpaper. Further, if you have a baby / children or need ADA access, this is not the hotel for you. I asked for a ground floor unit and they gave me one but from the parking lot entrance (gated) there was no access to this "ground floor" (which was actually 2nd floor) and I had to carry the stroller (with a baby inside) up and down the stairs, along with luggage. If I didn't, well I would need to walk all the way around the buildings through the parking lot (in the rain) to the front entrance. What a hassle!! They also charge $20 / night for parking your car. Overall I would not recommend staying here nor would I stay here again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

After an 18 hour drive from southern Cal to Seattle I needed a nice comfortable, clean place to stay. The Doubletree at Seatac was much more than that. "Very Confusing!"
My main (and only) gripe of this hotel is that it is utterly confusing and poorly laid out in its planning. There are roughly 7 or so wings that intertwine and it is not uncommon to see guest wondering the halls looking for their wing or room- (there was even staff members who told me they are still trying to understand the layout). I was in Wing Five […] on the third floor, I had to walk to wing four, catch an elevator up one floor, walk across a skybridge and then catch another elevator up one floor to get to my room. "Double Tree - nice but beware of extra costs"
We found the hotel itself to be clean and comfortable and the staff was very helpful and competent but we weren't happy about some of the costs. We were charged what I consider a high rate for parking each night, we were charged for internet access (which I haven't seen in other hotels for a long while) and we were charged double for a drink that wasn't […] even half a normal pour. "Location was great but pay to park."
Access to SEATAC was great. However, parking is extra. Large bath. The luxury sized showers (no bathtubs) are difficult to regulate water temperature. You have to stand under the stream of water and get a cold or hot shock before getting it under control. Otherwise you can stand outside the shower and bend/reach through the door and get your hair wet. […] I think the shower access was backwards - it should have been at the faucet end. "Horrible Customer Service"
I was really looking forward to staying at the Doubletree but I sorely disappointed. When I went to check in they told me I was in a 2 queen bed smoking room. I said I didn't want a smoking room and the clerk said that is what I had reserved and there was nothing else available. The clerk then told me they would have someone go and spray the room with […] air freshener. Then they showed me the map of where we would be. It was down a long corridor, up an elevator, then down another long corridor, up a different elevator, and then down another very long corridor! We carried our heavy bags all the way down there and finally arrived. We went into the room and it had a very strong smoky smell. No one had come to spray the room. I tried to open the patio door to get some air, but the moths would fly in the room. I then rechecked my reservations and found I had not asked for a smoking room like I had been told by the clerk, but had reserved non-smoking. Now I was really irritated. I called the front desk and explained the situation. They said they had a king room available and would give us a cot. A bellman would be up shortly to take us there. I thanked them and then my children and I went out to wait in the hallway, as we did not want to mess up the room and the odor was pretty bad. We sat in the hallway for 20 minutes and no one came. A woman that worked in the hotel saw us and went to call the desk. She said someone was coming, but after 15 more minutes no one had come. I had checked into the hotel about an hour ago by this time and was still not in my room. I went all the way back down to the front desk with my children and my bags and finally got a room key myself. I asked if they had a cart I could use to push my bags back up to the room, as it was almost as far as the last one we were in. They said they were really busy and a bellman wouldn't be available for about 30 minutes, but I could leave my bags there and they would bring them up. Are you kidding? "Not impressed from Wyoming"
This was my second stay at this hotel. This stay was very disappointing. Upon arrival I was given a choice of a close "handicap" room, or a room with a king size bed that was a long distance from the front desk/main part of the hotel. The king sized bed room had to be accessed by going up a elevator, over a sky walk, and then down another elevator, […] with finally getting assistance from a housekeeper of how to find the room.
