"Quick and Easy"
Had an overnighter between flights in Seattle and chose Holiday Inn. Pleasantly surprised by the make up of the room and the restaurant. Only down side was that we had to catch the 6:20 shuttle to the airport and the breakfast buffet that came with the room was to start at 6:00. The location of this hotel was perfect for our needs. My family and I were returning home from a vacation and we needed a overnight stay for an early flight. The hotel was close to the airport and they had a shuttle. The beds and pillows were very comfortable and the room was attractive and of average size, but the bathroom was unusually small. Our main complaint was noise in the hallways and twice during the night people tried to get into our room. One person, perhaps housekeeping or someone with a misprogrammed key card actually entered our room briefly. Scary! Overall the hotel was nice but nothing exceptional. We only needed a room for a night. We chose this hotel for two reasons: near the airport and free shuttle. We called for the shuttle and he came right away. But we were extremely happy that the hotel let us check in when we arrived around 1pm. It would have been awful to sit and wait till 3:00 at the Denny's (or in the lobby, which was nice). Pool is […] 24 hours too. My only complaint is this--big sign that reads HAPPY HOUR; Drink Specials, 1/2 price appetizers. We napped till 4pm, got up, went down to bar and BAM! Turns out there are no drink specials (bartender says there never are) and appetizers are ONLY 1/2 price IF you buy a drink! We were not happy, at all. "There when we needed it most"
We (family of 4) were travelling to Europe for the Christmas holidays. We ended up being stuck in Seattle for 4 days because of snow storms in Europe causing hundreds of flight cancellations. We found this hotel through Hotels.com. The rate was good, and we thought we'd get a very average room.When the staff at checkin knew about our travel problems […] they upgraded us for free to a suite. "Broken Down Holiday"
Front desk staff rude and disrespectful. Our flight was canceled and we needed lodging. I chose Holiday inn from the rep and location to the airport. The room still had debris, the TV didn't work or the remove. We ordered a movie and the TV was out of focus. Called the front desk and they said all they could do was change out the TV. They did replace […] the remote. The engineer knocked and shoved it into my face saying here and walked off. We were tired and waiting alittle customer service and comfort. They charged me for the movie we couldn't even watch I paid 50 more for the holiday inn than the best western Alaska Air arranged. "Holiday Inn Seatac was so convenient for Seattle"
We stayed here primarily because we were flying home from Seatac airport, but we were pleasantly surprised at how convenient our hotel was to the transport into Seattle. The new Link train system is less than a 5 min walk from the hotel & it's only 15 - 20 mins by train into Seattle. The train was very cheap too! It was very close to the airport, esp United. The pool was nice and the facilities were excellent. The light rail system was within walking distance to get you into Seattle.
