The hotel billed me for my stay in addition to what I had already paid on hotels.com. I called them to get it sorted out and they did quite promptly. However they woke me up at 7:45 in the morning to tell me that they had credited my account. The manager didn't apologize for the early call and told me that she had to leave early. It bothers me that […] I was already inconvenienced by their billing mistake and she acted like she had done me a huge favor by sorting it out and waking me up at an inappropriate call time. The sheets had stains on them. At least I'm hoping they were stains and not just dirty. And I had to call the front desk for towels bc there were none in the room. They initially wanted me to come to the front desk to get them but since I was in my pjs I asked that they have someone send them up which they did. I don't expect a lot especially at this price point... But billing me correctly, decent service and having a towel in the bathroom are pretty basic things. Thankfully I rarely find myself in Lafayette. But if I ever have to spend the night there again it won't be at this hotel. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Was really discussed as they didn't have keys for the room and I had to have someone let me in everytime I left my room. As to be awoke at 5 am and they called at 6 am. Seemed like kids running the place. Had kids running up and down the halls until after 2 am.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not what I expected"
This is the first Microtel that I was disappointed in. Building was old, in need of repair. Staff was excellent.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
THE SERVICE GIVEN BY THE CHECK-IN GIRL WAS GREAT. THE KEY MACHINE WAS DOWN SO SHE HAD TO PERSONALLY TAKE EVERYONE TO THEIR ROOM AND LET THEM IN. SHE DID ALL OF THIS BY HERSELF WHILE HER GENERAL MANAGER WENT HOME TO TAKE A NAP AND THE OTHER GUY THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE HELPING HER WAS NOWHERE TO BE FOUND. THEY DID NOT HAVE ENOUGH TOWELS IN THE ROOM.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Wishy-washy"
I didn't expect much for this hotel as it was low cost and right off the highway. But I needed a overnight sleep. Walked in and two non employees were behind the desk sitting, chatting. Manager couldn't log in to the computer to check me in Red flag. Key code maker was down so couldn't get a key to the room. They had to LET you in each time you left […] the room. Wifi service was down. But when I got to the room it was pleasant. Good decor and a very comfortable bed. Tv was outdated but it worked and the bathroom/shower all though clean the shower head was older yet the bathroom was remodeled. Hmmm. Why not upgrade the shower head? The water was instant hot which I like very much. This stay was definitely a mixed bag. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Poor Quality"
The computer system was down and they had trouble checking us in and out. The room was hot and muggy. There were hairs on the bathroom floor and I didn't like the big mirror that covered the entire wall above the headboard. I wouldn't stay here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Lafayette, LA"
This was the second go around with this hotel and the last. Yes, the price and location were good, but the sheets and towels were stained, the rooms surrounding me were LOUD and the general cleanliness of the room daily left a little to be desired.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"One night stay? Okay. Staying a while? Keep going."
The air conditioner was broken in the first room I was given. After contacting the front desk, I was promptly moved to a second room. This room didn't have an alarm clock. After going to the front desk, we walked from room to room on the first floor looking to raid one of those rooms for a clock. All of the rooms on the first floor (or at least the […] ones we went to, 4 in total) were in bad shape and unavailable for rent. The air conditioner in the hallway on the third floor was out, and it was stifling hot in the hallway. There was someone there working on it, but I stayed for 3 nights, and they were "working" on it all three nights. This property didn't look that old from the outside, but the rooms are dated. Nice flat screen TV, a working frig, coffee maker, etc., but the furnishings were worn, stained, and dated. The bed was comfortable. The shower head in my room barely spit out water, and it was like showering under a faucet, a slow running faucet. I'm not much of a breakfast fan, so I can't speak to the breakfast offered. If you're passing through the area and just need a one-night stay, then this place is okay. But this is not where you want to spend a couple of nights in a row, like I did. "Microtel not"
Its sad when the sign on the hotels billboard says "best hotel on the block". That should have been a sign of things to come. The five of us checked in and I went down to get more towels since there were only two in the room and got a look from the woman at the front desk. Did they really expect all of us to share 2 towels? The room had a door connecting […] to the room next door that wouldn't lock so we had to wedge the ironing board to keep it somewhat secure. The vinyl seat by the window was dusty. My husband checked out the breakfast selection and we decided to eat at the waffle house down the street instead. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Disappointment"
I have stayed at other Mircrotels in other states but this one was sub satandard. The heater/ac unit simply didn't work, plus plastic shroud was broken and sagging off the front of the unit. There was a cloth cover over the smoke detector and the toilet seat was broken and actually falling off the commode.Genuine Expedia guest review
"did not feel comfortable"
check out time was to early - breakfast was not up to pai- but for they rate that you pay- guess thats what you have to expect. One night stay to sleep and go not bad at all- but to stay a few days not goodGenuine Expedia guest review
"Service is lacking"
The hotel itself is ok for the price, but the service stinks. The rooms have been renovated- new paint, carpet, comfortable bedding. A bit small, but ok. But there were major service problems. We arrived late in the evening after a day of traveling and checked into our room. The air conditioner was off and it was about 85 degrees in the room and the […] humidity had to be 110%. We turned on the air conditioning and it cooled off quickly, but the sheets felt damp all night from the humidity. The air conditioner leaked and the carpet was soaked beside it. Breakfast- we showed up well within the designated hours. The waffle batter was completely out. I asked if they could please make more since several customers were wanting waffles. She wandered in 10 minutes later, turned off the waffle iron and walked out without saying a word. We could have had cereal, but there was NO milk. We could have had orange juice, but there were NO cups. We finally decided to use the tiny cups that were for the waffle batter in order to get a little juice. So we checked out and went for fast food! This could be a decent hotel for the price, but the service was just too bad. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Never Again!!!!!"
We arrived at about 6 pm and there was no one at the front desk. There was a sign that said to yell loudly because the workers couldn't hear because the dryers were too loud (not sure what this meant). I yelled several times, but no one came out. After about 10 minutes, a girl with game in and began to help us. She had a runny nose and kept wipping […] it with her hands. (I was tempted to offer her a tissue, but i didn't have one handy) We finally got our room. It was fairly clean and the beds were pretty comfortable, but the shower head was about 4 feet high up the wall and the water pressure was extremely low. It took us twice as long to shower because we didn't have enough water pressure to get the conditioner out of our hair. The "continental breakfast" was pitiful as well. It looked as if they bought all of the food from the local convenience store and placed in in their dining room. We were planning on staying for 4 nights, but after the first one, we decided to leave and go to a Holiday Inn Express for the rest of our trip. I guess you get what you pay for!!!!! "Mico Inn Hotel Suites"
Upon checking into room the ac did not seem to be working. Front desk said "give it sometime". After 2 hours the temp dropped 2 degrees. The morning breakfast was a joke. Only apple juice and cereal. Bisquits and bagels were as hard as rocks. No bread for the toaster. Waffle machine was broke. Orange juice machine was broke.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

While a nice, renovated hotel on the outside and a great, clean lobby. We entered to find out they didn't have the requested bed. After this we went to a room that had hairs on the bed, a wrinkled comforter, pillows slopped on the bed, and hair in the tub drain hole that came up when we ran water. It was not plesant.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Microtel Inn & Suite Lafayette, LA"
As a female traveling alone with my two children, this hotel would not be a place that I would recommend. The parking lot was not well lit, and though it appeared that the majority of the motel was construction/oil field workers, the parking lot was not sufficient, and was not manicured, at all. Upon entry to the hotel the lobby appeared to be clean […] and well maintained. I stood at the front desk for approximately 5 minutes patiently waiting on the staff to return. I was politely checked in, and was presented with keys. We then went to our room. It was apparent that there had been some sort of renovations taking place. There was a light fixture panel lying on the desk. The room had a location for a refrigerator and microwave, but there was not one in the room. The room appeared to have been updated, but was not yet completed. At this point (after 12am), we were just happy to have a bed to sleep in. When we awoke in the morning, the first thing that I was greeted with was the feel of wet carpet below my feet where the air conditioner unit had leaked on the carpet, during the night. I then, when into the restroom where I noticed that there was has hair and dust in the shower. Overall, I would give our experience a 2. We will never use this hotel again. I would like to give this hotel the benefit of the doubt, but all and all, I think that there has poor management, and the cleaning staff should have known to verify that the rooms were ready, or NOT ready for occupancy daily. "Microtel Lafayette"
The hotel was a great deal for the price. It was minutes away from my destination. The sign said it had been recently remodeled....some of it might have been, and I guess they consider paint to be remodeled. Some of it hadn't been touched from what I could tell. Our bed had three fat, lumpy pillows and one of them had make-up on it when we got there....that […] was gross. Overall it was nice and clean and I'd stay again. "OK for the price."
The best thing about this Hotel were the friendly staff who did everything to make our stay comfortable. Rooms were clean but in run down condition. Air conditioner was very noisy. My room had a musty smell that would not go away. The continental breakfast was dismal. Ditto for the coffee. The location was OK but as it is very close to Ambassador Caffrey […] Hyw. It was very noisy. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
