Guestrooms.
Rooms open to balconies. The 214 air-conditioned guestrooms at 79 West by Oaseas Resorts include washers/dryers and coffee/tea makers. Televisions are equipped with cable channels. All units at this 3.5-star condominium resort have kitchens with cookware/dishes/utensils.
Guests must pay 5 percent of the total reservation amount upon check-in.
Guests arriving after 6 PM must call the property to check in with a credit card and receive the lock box code for room keys. Guests using cash for check in must go to the Shores of Panama hotel, 9900 South Thomas.
Guests must check-in at the Calypso Tower Resorts front desk; this is located at 15817 Front Beach Rd. This location is where you will pay your remaining balance and receive your room keys and parking pass. Guests planning to arrive outside of normal check-in hours are asked to contact the property in advance for check-in instructions and key retrieval. Please contact the office using the information on the reservation confirmation received after booking.

"1st Timers PCB"
This was our families first time visiting Panama City Beach and we will be returning on next year along w/ more of my family. We stayed at Cabana Cay Oases Resort located behind Winn Dixie and we absolutely loved it. Our room was nice, & clean, and very convenient. We had a grocery store within walking distance. The room was very clean. The dishwasher […] & oven was just like brand new. The refrigerator was spotless. I think I spent just as much time in my room than the beach (that's how pleasant it was). It was so quiet, so peaceful, and everyone we met was so nice. We arrived on a Monday and left on a Saturday morning and the entire time we were there, we met so many families. We had no problems with noise or rude neighbors. When we did report a problem w/ our air conditiion, maintenance came within 15 mins. and fixed it. I felt very safe with my kids on this resort with security on site. We have a wonderful experience and will be returning on next year staying at the same location. If I had any complaints, it would probably be that we were not able to see the beach from our resort. "walk to beach"
The hotel is nice. My room was very nice with a big balcony. This hotel has the best pool I have ever seen. The walk to the beach is a long walk. It is too far to walk with kids. "Not the worst but has plenty room for improvement"
the room was really musky mildew smelling when we got there. there was a weird smell out side too it just rained and it smell very fishy everywhere, the smell in the room got better. the pool is really nice but the worst was trying to get to the beach. it sits behind WinDixie and across the street there's finces all along the houses so you have to walk […] down the road to get to the beach. we had a wagon which saved us but these no way to wash the sand off you when you come off the beach. Our recent stay at Cabana Cay was mostly a sad disappointment unfortunately. I will start off by saying that the grounds and pool of the resort were absolutely wonderful! The location was good and we had a hassle free, pleasant check-in. We were all a little worried though, because there were many unhappy guests in the lobby while we were checking in. […] When we made it to the room, we realized why. The condo was a huge disappointment! The room was dirty and the carpet and furniture were in very bad condition. "Cabana Cay lack of maintenance NO HOT WATER"
This condo could be nice if it had a staff who showed some effort. First off it wasn't very clean, second the water reaked of rotten eggs,oh and NO HOT WATER!!! The shower head was barely screwed on with a crack in it when my husband got a surprising blow to the head with it while trying to take a shower! It may have been funny at the time for me hearing […] his loud yells and commotion, it sounded like the wall was coming down, just be glad he isn't writing the review. The couch bed was pathetic, the small pull out mattress was more of a thin comforter covered in hair and debri. Although there were some plusses with it being secluded and the room size was good for the price, but no beach view and no heated pool really made me not want to return even if the pool was really nice just not swimmable in the month of January when we were there. We went during bike week and on the hotels website it said "Park your bike where it will shine" the only part of the hotel that was anywhere near the main rd was th OLD office, and it was run down! "Not as good as advertised."
The office is not in the same location as the hotel. The A/C unit is in the bedroom. The guest bathroom doesn't have any storage. Cookware is limited. Apartments have no personality. The beach access is not across the street. We had to park at the grocery store and walk a good distance with the kids. The cleaning fee is ridiculous comparing to the cleanliness […] of the rooms. Our sheets were dirty and our carpet was REALLY stained. There were roaches in the kitchen because the weather strip was gone beneath the door. No housekeeping. Not enough towels for the amount of people the room sleeps. Everything was in driving distance. The pool was very nice. Ended up checking out early and going elsewhere. Was booked for two nights......however did not stay either night due to very run down conditions inside the room. "Ok -but Not Across the Street from Beach"
We stayed at Cabana Cay July 2011. For the most part, we had a really nice stay. When we arrived, I was somewhat worried. There were several people at the front desk who were complaining about their rooms. Before I checked in, I requested to review the room. Fortunately, our room was very neat, clean, and orderly. We had a view of the pool and a far […] away view of the ocean. The pool was FABULOUS! It is great for people with small children. It has a zero depth that contains a water mushroom and fountains and slopes up to 5 ft. One thing that was misleading is how faraway the beach is. I am familiar with Panama City so when the address was Front Beach Road, I expected the resort to be directly across the street. The resort check-in is on Front Beach Road (beside Winn Dixie). However, the resort itself is about 1/2 mile behind Winn Dixie. Also, there is not a public beach access across the street. When we went to the beach we ended up driving because it was way too far to take a small child, chairs, toys, etc. For the $$, it was nice and we had a good time. There are hidden fees that the resort do not tell you about until you check in. Then the service is poor and the resort is dirty. I did not get the room I booked. I booked a 2 bedroom resort that suppose to have a queen bed and 2 twin or standard beds and I got 2 queens instead.
