"Walls are paper thin"
I stayed here for one night as a spur of the moment stay. Hotel was clean and staff friendly but needs some TLC. The walls were paper thin-could hear everything the neighbors said. Can't beat the location but wouldn't advise a long stay and expect a good nights rest.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel was old but rooms were clean! Staff was friendly and attentive . We had a great time and would stay there again!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Where is housekeeping?"
We stayed five nights and it was a wonderful view and a great place to stay. The only problem was the housekeeping did not show up until I complained and did not do anything besides pick up dirty towels and change the trash but they did not leave clean towels.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"close enough to walk to restrauants"
we always stay in this hotel. I think that they could use some update with the outside of the hotel. I wanted a king size bed which I did get but we ended up staying in the queen size bed because it was not in front of the door. if they would move they king to where the queen was it would of made us happier.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"needs a good cleaning..good location"
beach and view was amazing! hotel wasnt horrible but...needs a deep cleaning.fall and winter months would be a good time too do this. recover from spring summer partiers! the hotel advertises a heated pool but it was ice cold... bummer was looking foward to a heated pool. parking lot, hall ways and stair wells were very dirty. just cleaning them would […] improve hotel over all. Hotel room felt like a dungeon with low ceilings and narrow hallways. Floors were dirty, walked on floor with a clean pair of socks for 5 minutes and the bottoms were black. Loved the location to the beach.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Price Sensative & Happy"
I came in looking for a bargain and found what I was seeking. The Beach Front room was clean all be it dated. I opted for the Kitchen suite because cooking in the room was a MUST. It was everything I expected, but more than that, everything I needed (including a comfortable bed) for a great visit to a beautiful beach. BRAVOGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Right on the beach!"
The hotel was about what I thought it would be when I booked it. It's an older property, but, the room was clean and somewhat comfortable (take your own pillow). Not the best hotel that I have stay in, but O.K. for a night or two.The gulf view and the sunsets are fantastic! Staff was nice and also informed about the area an events. If you don't go in […] expecting a 5 star experience, this hotel will work for a nice beach front stay. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

It's an older hotel but you can tell the staff take pride in keeping it up. It is right on the beach and every room has a view that is incredible, especially at sunset.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Our stay was good and the beds were okay, over all the room was good and it was a very big plus for me not to have seen any bugs. Quite area and very low key this hotel was not the ritz but the price was good.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

The location of the hotel was wonderful. Right on the ocean minutes away from great restaurants and shopping.. But the rooms needed a lil attending but we were only in the room to sleep so it didnt even matter. Overall great vidit. Oh, wish they had wi-fi in the roomsGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Worked well for what we needed"
We enjoyed our stay. The hotel had all we needed for the days we were there. It was nice to have an entrance on the front of the hotel, but still have a balcony view of the gulf. The only downsides were that the walls were really thin, and we were awakened by the people in adjoining rooms most mornings. And, the restaurant next door, Sharkeys, didn't […] honor the stated promotion. On the enveloped they put the room keys in, it stated that kids eat free at Sharkeys. So, we went to Sharkeys. When we mentioned it to the waiter, he said we had to have a coupon, and they usually only give those if something was wrong with your room. So, then when we get the check at Sharkeys, the envelope they brought it in stated, "Guests of Seahaven kids always eat free at Sharkeys." So, we brought this up to the waiter again, and he insisted that regardless of what that said, or if we were staying at the hotel, he wouldn't give us the discount without the coupon. So, if you stay here and have kids, make sure you ask the front desk for a coupon. It would have saved us $15 had we known. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
It was pleasant. Love the gulf view from room, balcony a plus overlooking beach. Hotel needs a facelift but for the price it was great especially since not much time is spent in roomGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Stay for the Money"
My husband & I stayed for 3 nights in this obviously older hotel with very minimal complaints. Every room has a balcony (deck on the lower floor) with a view of the Gulf. Our room was equipped with a kitchenette, so we were able to cook as if we were home. This is a plus since the hotel only provides juice & coffee in the lobby. We booked a king suite […] and expected a king sized bed in one room with a livingroom area in the other. Not the case, there was a queen sized bed where we expected a couch. Not a big deal though, just not what we expected. The king sized bed was just right, not too hard, not too soft. The queen sized was comfortably firm. The room was really clean, no odd smells or anything. I suggest traveling with Peerless Power Shower head from Walmart because the water pressure is terrible! The elevator is slow, but the short flights up to the highest floor (7) aren't bad if you're impatient. The staff is very friendly. There is a 24 hour convenience store right across the street. Less than a mile walk from Pier Park, and an even shorter walk to Gulf World. I stayed at the Beachcomber last year, and prefer that hotel over this one, but the Seahaven's location is much better in my opinion. Overall, I'd stay here again without hesitation. "Seahaven, six of one, half dozen of the other..."
My daughter and I love to visit Panama City Beach, and we have stayed in several hotels up and down the beach front. The Seahaven has pros and cons. Pros: the location is great, right on the beach, near several shopping and eating establishments within walking distance, and they have rooms with kitchenettes (including a full size stove and refrigerator). […] Cons: the building is an older building in need of some TLC, the HVAC units are dates and VERY loud, even though it is 2013 wireless internet is not included in your room rate, and the signal is not good. So you get a great location, decent price, but the nickle and dime you for things ($40 for room upgrade, $30 for a week of hinky internet service). Overall I will probably not stay at the Seahaven again unless I just can't get another room elsewhere, but as an alternative option it will do. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Close to Beach"
It was okay, but we won't stay again. It was clean, but the outside appearance made you feel dirty. We had a room on the bottom floor, and our back door lead right to the beach. "You cannot help who else stays there"
Very noisy person had an air horn and would blast it every so often up to midnight. Then he would race up the stairs and slam the door to their room. Kitchen only had1 cooking spoon, one bent long knife, one steak knife,3 plates, and at least a can opener. There was 4 forks, two knives, two spoons. Could have had a bit more to cook with. Peeling paint […] on the balcony. Room was beautifully clean. We did get one fresh exchange of towels during the stay of 3 days. The do not use any fabric softener and the towels were very rough. Hotel is on the beach which was good. Hotel room was clean but dated. Wanted to take a long weekend with kids. rate was good for three nights. Close to Pier Park. A little noisy at night, cars on main road honking horns. Pool was nice but bottom needed to be cleaned. Hot water was good. Air conditioner a little noisy but kept room nice and cool. view […] of beach from balcony was nice. had to turn off airconditioner while on deck due to noise and blowing hot air out but not a big issue. "OK for short stay"
This place is OK for a short stay. It is an older building so don't expect much out of the amenities or decor. I was afraid to stay here after reading other reviews, but was overall pleased with our stay. We were able to check in early and our room was clean (except for the floor). Putting carpet in a hotel that's on the beach is a bad idea, it was […] dirty and sticky. It would have felt cleaner with tile floors. Everything worked in our room; however the a/c sounded like a jet engine at night and kicked on and off a lot. The staff was pleasant and quick to greet us and check us out. We were only there for a couple of days so this hotel worked out great for us, but if you are staying a week or more, consider paying for something nicer. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

far from the nicest place we stayed. but it was cheap and right on the beach.. location is great about 1/2 mile from the pier and pier park.(huge shopping center) was nice to walk out to the beach.. and soak in the sun,,, room was used only for sleeping so no real big complaints...Genuine Expedia guest review
"Not Terrible but horrible cell phone and wifi"
If I didn't need to use my cell phone or require wifi it would have been the best vacation. It is an older building and the hall way open to the outside that you have to walk through to get to the beach smelled strongly of cat urine. My cell phone (AT&T) only worked if I set it down in one spot I found in the room so, I missed many calls. Wifi only […] worked within a 2 foot area in the room or by the window and I had to pay 25 dollars for that poor signal. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Oldie but a goodie....Not Great"
Overall I was satisfied. It was a little pricey for the quality but the location was awesome (seconds from the sand.) The hotel looked like it hadnt been updated since the 70's, the beds were hard, and the mattresses were in plastic (maybe that meant they were new ). There were water stains on the ceiling and also in the bathroom. The shower head was […] broken, but they were fixing it when we left (maybe). Saw one roach crawling but I flushed it. We had to go and ask for towels at the front desk. The staff were kind and courteous and easy to deal with.. Did I mention it was seconds from the sand : ). If you can deal with the minor things then give it a try. I would stay here again just because of the location, but if something else was open on the beach with better quality for 15 or 20 more per night, thats where I would go. Hope this helps. "Last minute trip"
We decided to head to PCB a week before we booked it and there were few hotels left, so for the price we booked the SeaHaven to be on the beach. The rooms were clean and the staff was very nice, but they need to spend the money and upgrade the rooms. In great need of repairs and updates.Genuine Expedia guest review

The best part was the front desk staff. They were very helpful and recommended many great places to go and eat. The worst part was the mattress. It was caved in and hard as a rock. The room was quaint though, with a full retro kitchen which was useful. Nice view of ocean. Wifi only in lobby. Value priced.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nice ocean view, but....."
Really enjoyed the ocean view, however the pictures of this hotel must have been taken a long time ago. Our balcony door was broken and we had to call for repair because it would not close once opened. The maintenance man came right away and was nice and apologized, repaired it as best as he could. The dresser in the room had drawers that were falling […] apart. The check out time is 10 am, but they did allow us to stay until 11 without an additional charge. "Great view of the ocean..."
Yes, we had a wonderful view of the ocean, but we had to share a balcony with the people in the room next to us so that wasn't very pleasing. "Not what I expected"
The location is great, but it is pretty obvious that the hotel needs some work and the services should be better explained. I stayed there 4 nights and the room was only serviced once. When I asked about it I was told that you had to be in your room for it to be cleaned. Well, it is the beach, we didn't stay in the room. "You get what you pay for!"
Check-in is at 4pm per Expedia and the sign on the front of the office door at the hotel. We were not given a room until 7pm that night. We were told that Expedia advertises that check-in is at 4pm and that is not always the case. So when we point out the sign on the front of the office door, the manager simply states, "Well you have a point." The manager […] then tells us that 90% of the cleaning crew had walked off the job earlier that day, so housekeeping is "running behind." At this point there was a lobby full of people waiting on their room(s). We were lucky in that we got our room by 7pm. One couple from TN did not get into their room until 9pm. Room was clean & basic. The walls are very thin!! I recommend setting the AC so it never shuts off. It helps to drown out any noise from surrounding rooms. Great view of the ocean. The pool was clean. Kids really enjoyed it. Given that we did not get our room until 7pm, the manager told us that we could have a late check-out of 1pm. On the day we were scheduled to leave he comes to the room at 11pm and tells us to leave. We remind him of the late check-out he had given us. Then at 12:30pm someone knocks on the door. As I'm walking to the door, before I could even open it some guy with housekeeping opens the room door, steps in, and says, "Oh we just need to know what time y'all are going to be out." It was our first time at the hotel & will be our last. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

The cleanliness of our room was great but....we arrived Thursday and had no maid service (beds made, towels, trash dumped, etc.). They did leave is a roll of toilet paper (ours was empty) for us to put on the roll and some towels laid on the sink Sat. afternoon. Our room was in the closed in area of the hotel were the elevator was so all night we had […] laughing, screaming, you name it.
