"Weekend escape to the Kronborg"
The Kronborg was a nice enough. The rooms were clean, the televisions were flat, the beds were comfy. We stayed on the second floor and had no problem with noise or foot traffic. We also stayed on the back side, so that helped. Our friends stayed in a first floor room and didn't care for the children in the room above them running around at 6AM. First of all, Solvang is a WONDERFUL little getaway for Angelenos! Cute, clean and most of all, friendly!! I know i will definitely be returning more regularly after my recent stay at Kronborg Inn. :) My room was clean, everything in working order and the comfort level was off the charts! "Krongborg Inn - Conveniently located - Affordable"
The rooms were spacious. The rate was affordable. It was conveniently located to Solvang village and we were able to walk to breakfast and shopping. But the experience left a lot to be desired. We were unable to check in to our room early on our way to wine tasting. The bed was very soft, too soft for us. The hotel is right off the side of the road, […] and you could hear cars driving by. The hot water only worked if you kept your hand on the dial, making it impossible to take a hot shower and inconvenient to draw a hot bath. The other couple we stayed their with wound up getting a gigantic room that had a jacuzzi tub in the middle of the living room, which made for some interesting after dinner highlights. We've stayed at this hotel on two visits to Solvang, a couple years apart. The hotel just keeps getting better. Room was very nice, great bed, TV, tub with jets, good location on the end of town, great staff, good continental breakfast, nice pool. No complaints at all, and a good value as well.
