Kronborg Inn

Around 10:45 someone came in upstairs. They were noisy but figured they would quite down pretty soon. Three hours later their kids were STILL running and jumping all across the floor and jumping off the bed. We tried to call the office. There was NO number in the room to get a hold of the office. So I decided to just dial O. An answering machine came […] on (didn't say anything that it was the office at the hotel). It just said we are not here leave a message. So I left a message. When I was checking out at 10:30 the next morning they didn't hear it until I said something. He told me that NOBODY was there during the night. They are only there in the summer time. I told him that what if their was a real emergency how would we get a hold of anyone. He said there was a very small sign on the front office door with a phone number. So I guess I was suppose to go out in the middle of the night to look for a sign. His other suggestion was "when I come back again, I could have a room on the second level". We had 2 other rooms, one which was a handicap room. They also heard the yelling and jumping off the bed. So at least 3 rooms didn't much sleep that night. Read more

Although the room appears to have been recently renovated, the traffic noise is unbearable and makes this inn undesirable. Our room didn't face the street and it was still extremely noisy. The room rates are too high considering that you need ear plugs to sleep at night.

From the beginnng, our stay was not a "good" thing. From the young, unfriendly person who checked us in, to the problem getting our room cleaned. And we had to change rooms when we first got there, cause the television didn't work properly. The only friendly person working there was the person who check us out. He actuall said thank you. There is absolutely no soundproofing in the hotel, at least in building 2. Guests above us came in late and were up the whole night. They did not do anything wrong, just walk around and used the shower. It felt as if they were literally walking on out heads. Could not get any sleep the whole night.

The room was outdated, bathroom walls had spackling on it for prep for painting. Carpet was stained and dirty.The bed area was too small for a king size bed and the closet wire racks were taken down for painting and not out back up. The shower tub facet and spicket were loose. WE do not recommend this hotel.

I have never had this terrible reception. I said "how are you? " The staff said, "Your ID and credit card!" I asked the direction to my room, he just showed me the map. I said "thank you" He said nothing. At night, I tried being nice to one more time because I was in my happy trip mood. I said, "hi" again, he ignored. I was like"mmm maybe he didn't […] hear me" I said one more time and he said, " Ok" What kind of receptionist is he? He may know who I am if he's reading this review. The hotel is remodeled and I liked the new bedding set. But there were bread crumbs on the sheet and the sink stopper and the bathtub stopper were broken and there was lots of hairs in the drain. I really did not like it but I did not want to deal with that man so I just went to bed. Solvang is a very cute village but expensive. But the people there do not appreciate the visitors who spend money there. Read more

The smoke alarm tweeted from 3am TILL DAWN AND KEPT US AWAKE. BECAUSE WE BOOKED THRU A 3RD PARTY ( HOTELS.COM) they said they could not make an adjustment on our bill.
