"Great Price"
I attended a conference at another hotel that was within walking distance. They were charging nearly seven times the rate per night for basically the same room ABVI provided for far less per night. ABVI is not quite as luxurious on the outside as some of the other nearby hotels, but was just as clean and had just as nice beds, tvs, and necessities as […] the others, in comparing my room to other conference attendees. Staff was friendly and helpful, though I really had limited need to make use of them. The area early in the morning and late at night may be a little questionable, but their seems to be plenty of traffic, lighting was sufficient in main areas, and I usually ran into security from neighoring businesses during these hours, so I felt safe at all times. I was in town for a business trip, this was the least expensive hotel somewhat near where I needed to be during the day. The shuttle service was great, but upon arriving at the hotel I was a little nervous. The outside of the building doesn't give you a whole lot of confidence, but I was extremely pleased and surprised by the actual room. Overall I had a great experience. The free shuttle was awesome and right on time. The room was clean and the service was great. It is within a very reasonable walking distance of downtown Phoenix. "Do Not Stay at Americas Best Value Inn!! -Never-"
I have pictures to prove the condition of the room I rented for a conference in downtown Phoenix if you don't take my word for it!! Do Not Stay at Americas Best Value Inn! It is not as advertised! The room was filthy with stained, gritty sheets, moldy towels, no security locks on the door, bad mattress, dirty facilities, dirty dresser & sink. The shower […] was never cleaned since the last person. Hairs in the sink, on toilet, and in shower. Worse stay EVER in Phoenix. I deeply regret renting this room. The hotel was to schedule shuttle service to the airport for me and failed to do so - I was left with 20 minutes before I needed to leave to find another ride. To top it all off you have to pay for ice and the customer service was poor. The Room was not Clean or Comfortable as Advertised. Beware of renting from this company they take no pride in the condition of the room, customer service, follow through on the services and amenities they advertise. Overall, the hotel was ok. The managers were a married couple that lived on the grounds, so they were very knowlegable. The room was clean and recently renovated. My only complaint was the refrigerator did not work, but I was too tired to care and my left overs spoiled. This is a good, basic hotel for an overnight close to the airport. Clean basic room with microwave. The only thing is to remember to make prior arrangements for the shuttle from the airport to the hotel. I didn't and had to take a taxi. It can be hard to find a budget hotel that is clean, comfortable, and reasonably close to where you want to be, but Americas Best Value Inn is a good place to go if you need to be close to downtown Phoenix. What the room lacked in size, or what the hotel lacked in amenities was more than made up for in the price. The staff I encountered were friendly and helpful. I came to Phoenix for a conference. The hotel is ~15 min by foot to the convention center and I didn't have any concerns walking downtown at night. The room was clean, had a fridge and microwave, and a remodeled bathroom. The bed was comfortable with a new alarm clock. I have stayed in this hotel before and for me it is just like a home away from home. I was in Phoenix on business this time and the 15 minute brisk walk into the Convention Centre was just wonderful to get my body ready for the work day.
