"Hampton Inn Dover-No Microwave & VERY Noisy A/C"
The hotel has ONE microwave in the lobby ONLY !!!! When we requested one microwave for our room, the attendant at the front desk informed us that the ONLY microwave they have is located in the lobby. Obviously this didn't help particularly that we have a 3 month-old baby on formula. Can you imagine us throughout the night (almost every 2-3 hours) taking […] the elevator down to the lobby to prepare a formula bottle? Another issue with all rooms (I believe) is the heating unit. "Be aware of the nasty grinding noise of the heating unit" when it turns on heat. It is almost unbearable the first night but as time goes on, you sort of get used to it.... Even though the hotel appeared to be pretty fully occupied, it was extremely quiet at night. It was a very beautiful hotel, a bit pricey for one night but it was well worth it. Room was comfortable and the bathroom w/granite counters - exquisite! The pool was very nice and good temperature. The bed & bedding by far the best and most comfortable I have ever encountered. I loved the duvet cover rather than the polyester bedspread one usually gets. The pillows were perfect!!
