"older hotel"
HOtel is older and things are looking a bit down at the heels. However our room was clean, comfortable and it was quiet. Room A/C would not cool the room down, front desk let me have 2 fansin the room to help try and cool Hotel it self was hot, and this is were they want you to eat and drink and socialize. Hotel is run down very poor lack of maintance.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Odd experience...."
Half of the hotel is pretty nice, but the back half looks like cheap government housing. There were people sitting outside their doors drinking beer at all times of the day and night. I didn't feel entirely safe there. Also, a maid actually came into my room while I was showering, and despite being asked to leave, continued to clean my room. I finally […] had to get out of the shower, put a towel around my waist, and walk into the room and ask her to leave so I could get dressed. I stayed on the first floor with the indoor pool. and the noise inside the room from all of the people at the pool was nearly unbearable until the pool closed at 10. "Fifth Season Inn"
The hotel roof was leaking and the carpet in the main area of the hotel was SOAKED almost the entire time we were there (2 days). The rooms were mostly clean, but the ceiling in the bathroom was coming down and parts of the texture over the shower fell when I got in. Then when we returned to our room on the last day we had NO towels or pillow cases […] in our room! NO towels!!! Not sure what the deal was, but we will not stay here again!! i had worked a 10 hour shift and then drove 8 hours to get to amarillo. Ive never had a problem with early check-in at a hotel before. The guy at the front desk was rude and not helpful at all. I was 3 hours early and he said there was nothing he could do. I told him I would be going somewhere else, and did. I willl not be making another reservation […] at this hotel. Our ac was on hi the entire stay and the room never was completely comfortable. The faucet in the tub could not be completely turned off and the water literally ran the entire two days we were there. Petit déjeuner compris dans le prix de la nuitée.
