They put us in a room right next to the ice machine. At 5:30 a group of people came to fill their coolers and the noise was so loud it was like a TV blaring in your room. "Not a 3-star hotel"
The elevator in the lobby worked intermittently and so it would stop working without warning. We only used it once when a hotel employee reset it and agreed to go with us while taking us to our room. The hotel is dated and well worn, and is in need of a renovation. The sliding glass door in the room would not open to allow access to the balcony or fresh […] air. The air conditioner would not blow cold air. The Internet access did not work. The shower did not work correctly and would allow some of the water to flow through the faucet for the bathtub, which drained slowly, so the bathtub filled up with water while you were trying to take a shower. "Never Again!"
This is the loudest hotel we have ever stayed at. The ice machine was down the hall and it was used all night and so was the elevator. We had 2 dogs stay with us and we were put on the 2nd floor. Because of all the noise, they didn't want to sleep either. Our kids didn't get any sleep and we left in the morning feeling worse than we did when we got […] there. I will never stay here again! "holiday Inn Amarillo"
Check in was slow due to a 'rush' at the time we arrived. Once in the room the temperature was hot so we turned on the AC. It never totally cooled down the room. When questioned front Desk had no other rooms with new AC so we had to stay put for the night. Just an older motel which needs some TLC.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
