"Convenient"
We ordered and was confirmed 1 no-smoking room and one smoking room. When we checked in, we were informed that they did NOT have a smoking room and they didn't confirm smoking rooms. However, the room we had was comfortable and we made out okay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Think Twice"
The Front Desk staff was very friendly. The bed was cozy with extra pillows. The location of the hotel was in a good area, close to restaurants and convenient stores. The overall condition of the room could have used a simple thorough cleaning. "Interesting but ok stay"
First impression of the hotel was ok, considering I had stayed there several years ago but couldn't remember how my stay went. I had a room next to the laundry room so the first night was unbearable with the constant slamming of dryer doors and loud bangs. I ended up not even staying in my room that night. I could hear people above me walking and bumping around throughout the night. Not to mention the moaning and groaning of the couple next door. The overall comfort was not really met but the rates were descent. Would I stay again? Maybe depending on the location of my room and the occupants next door. "CLEAN UP !!"
Towels appreared used - no tissues and the previous occupant's underwear- panties- and shirts left hanging on the bathroom door. I slept on top of thye sheets to avoid any chance of bed bugs. "Spend the extra money for a nicer place."
We stayed here due to the cheaper rate while on a church youth trip. They were out of clean towels on our second night and half of our group had to use the floor mats to dry off. The breakfast was a joke-- out of coffee and the waffle makers did not work. The front desk staff was on the phone for at least 5 minutes when we arrived and did not put the […] call on hold to serve the guest standing in front of him until I interrupted him and demanded service. "Foul room, smoky old hotel"
The Rodney Parham La Quinta really needs to lose its franchise. Most La Quinta's I've stayed at over the years have been okay places, but this one was truly foul. The room had odd sticky stains on the tables, foul water in the toilet, and gross stains on the carpets. I am not much of a complainer and I was pretty exhausted, so we fell asleep and stayed […] anyway, but under any other circumstances I would have walked out and demanded a refund. The neighborhood is a little shady. Also, on the way to the ice machine late at night, I passed a couple of hookers standing in the hall knocking on someone's door. Not a place to bring your family, needless to say. The night manager (Cedric) was really polite and helpful, but the lady that was there in the morning was hateful. "Have had better La Quinta Experience than this."
Check in was really easy. Breakfast doesn't start until 7am, which is inconvenient for us because we were here for the Little Rock Marathon that started at 8am. They allow pets. Unfortunatly, my room smelled like mildew. The airconditioner only gets as cold as 65 (it reads), but it feels hotter than that. My dog found a corn chip by the bed. The price […] was low, but I have stayed in better La Quinta Hotels than this one. I did not feel safe. I believe this might have been near a bad neighborhood, or Little Rock itself is just scary. Beds were comfortable, however, place is not the cleanest and I definitely wouldnt eat the continental breakfast provided; handled very poorly and again, dirty! My daughter had surgery, her and I live out of state where I flew in to be with her and placed us in this hotel for recovery being it was close to the doctors office. "Not Impressed"
Shower head was out of order. The housekeeper didn't put any towel until we called their front desk in the evening and came down to pick it up from their front desk.
