Overall, the stay was good. The room was welcoming, clean and comfortable. The hotel location was perfect for our weekend trip with a beautiful area for... the guests to lounge. My concern is the dimly lit parking along the backside of the hotel even though we didn't incur problems. Lastly, I made two reservations via hotels.com (with a live-human) because I wanted to pre-pay and avoid all surprises. Upon arrival, the clerk explained the card would be kept on file for incidentals, but once we checked in, the card was immediately charged $50.00 per room totaling $100.00 and the funds were actually deducted from my account. Once I spoke to the clerk regarding those deductions, the funds were replaced as quickly as they had been removed. Therefore, overall the stay was a good stay and I would stay again! Front desk clerk told us the wrong room number at first. Got the right room number after going down stairs, then 1 out of 3 of our keys work. Glad we didn't get separated since we had only one working key.

Unless you are familar with the area, you may have trouble finding the hotel due to construction & poor signage. The lobby was nicely upgraded, but the room had not been. Unfortunately, our room had a very damp musty smell. We first noticed it when we reached the third floor but and it became worse as you entered the room.
