"improved hotel room"
I had stayed there before in January when it was still a Holiday Inn. I feel my room was nicer this time. There was a power outage and I think the hotel staff handled that crisis very well, offering to walk me up the stairwell. The hotel is under-going a renovation but was still very nice. It's in a great location in the heart of Dallas, directly off I-35 & 635. It has indoor & outdoor pools & hot tubs. "Only one minor issue and it was fixed fast!"
The Hotel was nice overall. The only issue was with one of the floors we were originally put on. It had an old moldy smell. We asked to be moved and they did do so on the spot. Older but nice. It has indoor & outdoor pool! Nice looking bar inside, which I did not visit. Check in staff was nice.I couldnt make it by midnight & just called hotel to ensure our rooms were not cancelled. Chris, was wonderful on the phone, & I was not given any problems at check in. Booked 2 rooms, one for my parents, the other for my kids & I. No […] probems with either, other than the r.r. only had 3 bath towels. I didnt ask but Im sure we couldve received more. "Very nice place to stay, but they are remodeling."
The Staff was very friendly and helpful. This was a no smoking facility, but apparently someone smoked the room. It was bought to the attention of the front desk, they quickly upgraded the room and gave 2 complementary breakfast buffet coupons. "Third Stay"
This was my third stay at this hotel in the last two weeks. Night is in the process of renovating an old Holiday Inn. Common areas of the hotel are quite nice. Rooms are older HI quality rooms with old TVs and furniture. Bed was quite comfortable and WiFi was excellent. My biggest problem with my rooms on the 3 stays was the quality of the cable TV […] service. Worst I've ever had. Only news channels was all the liberal outlets, CBS, NBC, CNN, ABC, etc. NO FOX CABLE NEWS!!! I like to have all sides of the news and not be forced to the left. I was told by the desk clerk that changes to the cable service were being planned. I certainly hope so as the current service is servilely lacking in both news and entertainment channels. Other than TV then AC units run continuously and are quite noisy. I have high hopes for the modernization of this hotel in the near future before I will stay there again. This hotel is in the process of renovation, so some of it looked really nice and some looked old. "Weekend adventure"
We were staying over a week end. I would really say overall 4.5. Definitely would use again. Breakfast foods were plentiful and satisfying. Blackout curtains worked well. The hotel was very nice. However we were on a floor with a lot of loud people who played music all night from approx 1030pm until we had enough and moved rooms at 130am! We had 2 small children sleeping, and called the front desk.. they told us that they had already warned them to turn it down.. and nothing changed! The cops ended up showing up, and […] the music was "turned down".. Thankfully we were able to change rooms. After that, we had a peaceful night. The hotel was VERY nice though.
