we recently stayed at the hotel. When we got there the lobby was very nice the personel was friendly. But the room I was given smelled like urine I told the young man at the front desk he was very nice and gave us another room, the new room was better needs updates but it was a ok. we ordered food at dinner time and it was great, the waiter was nice. "Hotel was nice enough, but not to 3 star quality"
Hotel is obviously in a transition period. Appears to have formerly been a Holiday Inn, and is now a brand under Wyndham. I generally stay in at lease a 3 star hotel when I travel, and this is probably the lease pleasing of any 3 star I've stayed at. The lobby area is very nicely done as well as the restaurant and bar area. The rooms have had several […] upgrades, i.e. new sinks, faucets, toilets, tub/shower, beds, furniture, etc. The carpets throughout the entire hotel was dated, and there were many random foul smells in the hallways and elevators. The most frustrating part for me was that the exit off of the Interstate that the hotel was on it closed and under construction. Navigating to the hotel was very difficult, and without GPS I might never have gotten there. Overall all it was an okay stay, but not sure I would stay there again. "No name of the hotel where we stayed"
I had a terrible experience with the taxi driver. First he speak english but heavy with accent then he got lost so our taxi was very high. The second experience is the hotel. For the price, it was ok, but I hope it gets better after the renovation. The hotel was surrounded by construction, making it hard enough to get to, but had an added issue of having only temporary signs, like it was just purchased. The room looked clean but smelled of mildew and mold and there were a lot of old and broken things like the air conditioner […] cover and the television. The drive up appeal of the hotel and the common areas are disappointing and the hotel has an unpleasant smell. Having said that, at the nightly rate, it is well worth it having very good quality bedding and towels, free wifi and parking.
