"cheap and it shows"
I normally don't rate businesses our service because everyone's experience is different. This hotel, however was bad. The staff was nice and helpful but they don't care much for its appearance. I should have known something wasn't right with several security cameras around the lobby alone. Everything is severely outdated, carpets, TVs, furniture. In […] my room alone the TV stand was missing decorative pieces and you could see the dried up glue. My window was cracked and the curtain was off track. I didn't feel completely safe at night. "Horribly disappointed"
I was horribly disappointed. First I book a Non- smoking room and that did not happen. The first room had the window just leaning up there and curtian hanging (by one pin), room was very shady. Went down and got another room. Second room was a little better. However the hotel NO MATTER where you were it was FILLED with smoke. People walked up and down […] the hall smoking. We resurved our room months in advance so they could save a nice room for us, however our room smelled like body odor or mold and when we complained about it they just sprayed the carpet with something that covered it a few minutes. "Hotel Experience"
This hotel was far from welcoming. With first checking in, they apparently overbooked and provided us with a room with 2 queen beds as opposed to one king sized bed. That was fine, but we had to stand at the front counter for almost 10 minutes while people walked in and out from behind the counter. Nobody was dressed in uniform so you can't tell anybody […] apart. Friendliness and professionalism were definitely lacking. We checked in and it was disgustingly hot on the 1st and 2nd floors. There is a set of stairs that lead you to the second floor. The hallway was hot and unappleaing to the eye. Thankfully our room was decent and spacious. The AC took a few hours to cool the room down...hello, it's 100+ in Texas, at least put the air on. There was 1 ice machine (which ran out of ice one night) and was very inconvenient. We also saw 1 cockaroach just hanging out in the hallway that made me want to vomit. Would I stay there again, no way. Would I recommend it, no way. why did I stay, you get what you pay for. "the staff just don't really care about anything."
The locking mechanism on the door was broken making it impossible to get into the room with the key card, requiring me to ask front desk staff to open for me. I have stayed in hotels that are not claiming to have any rating, which were cleaner and more hospitable in many places throughout the world. The clerk at reception refused to give us a contact number for the General Manager who was not going to be available until Monday. (this was Friday Morning). "Not worth the low rates!! Very Dirty!!"
We went for cheap and boy did we get it! Upon our arrival our bed had a huge yellow stain on the sheets and when we asked for a new room, the staff was not apologetic by any means and treated the situation as more of an inconvenience. The place looked run down and out of date, however the new bed was very comfortable. The rest of our trip they would […] not talk to us, only gave us rude glares and were not friendly. Even though the hotel was located right off the freeway the area was not nice and also looked run down. On our second day we went outside to check out the pool and was horrified to what we discovered. There was about three feet of greenish-brown mucky water in the pool, and the patio furniture surrounding it was filthy. There was a glass table knocked over and glass all over the ground. Luckily the La Quinta Inn next door was nice enough to let us use their pool during our stay....I guess we should have spent the extra $10 a night and stayed there. "Worst I have EVER stayed at."
I live out of Motels 35 out of the 52 weeks a year, due to my job. The Key card had to be reprogrammed after EVERY use. The "DO NOT DISTURB" tag, meant NOTHING to the housekeeping staff. "Should not stay in this hotel"
The front desk person was very rude and not accomodating, he was not helpful at all. The hotel room did not have a working TV and they offered to move me to another room instead or fixing or replacing the TV. When my wife called to talk to me, the front desk got after her and lectured her for not knowing my room number which I had not told her yet.
