"YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR.."
We came to AC for some gambling and fishing & stayed at this hotel for two nights. The room was filthy with cobwebs and dust all over. The bed was so soft and uncomfortable that it was hard to get out! The maid NEVER cleaned our room! We will not be staying at this hotel again. we arrived late on a Saturday night and once in the room there were stains on the ceiling, blinds were broken, and room smelled. Throughout the night you could hear people in the other rooms and due to the fact that the blinds were broken, the light was always shining in. I stayed here with my daughter to go to a fitness conference in Atlantic City. Although, the rates were more affordable - it was a good drive from the city and not that easy to access from the expressway. The manager was rude and unhelpful when we discovered that I had forgotten my license when I changed purses for the trip. He almost refused us our […] room although i offered him other forms of ID. I refused to pay for another room and he accepted my daughter's drivers license. When we got to the room the walls had marks/dirt/splatter on them and should have been cleaned. It is close to the highway and the walls were thin - we could hear every truck and car go by. In the morning we were awake by 5:30 because the blinds were so worn or cheap that they didn't cover the window and the sun was right in our eyes. We didn't want to stay in AC due to the higher rates - and b/c we were really only sleeping there (we didn't even turn on the TV!) Unless you can't find any other hotel, don't stay here. The mattress was so uncomfortable. I found a weird bug on the ceiling and killed it first before going to bed and was scared the whole night of finding another bug on the bed or something. One of my daughters smelled an odor coming from the bedding on one of the beds. Upon further investigation, we found what appeared and smelled to be a urine stain. I immediately went to the front desk to report it, and ask for a different room. We were told that they were booked and no other room was available. "Awful - Horrible"
Found toe nail on carpet, cockroach, ceiling had attic entry and light in the bathroom didn't work. Manager told me the vacuum missed the toe nail and cockroaches are normal from outside nothing he can do. I made reservations which I requested a handicapped room to accomodate my blind and handicapped non-ambulatory sister. When I arrived to the hotel after driving more than 3 hours in heavy traffic . I stay in a hotel every single night because I travel for my work and I dont usually take the time to fill these out because I never have the time. But this motel needs the review because it was AWFUL! When i arrived it was late at night so i had to ring the doorbell to get into the office. I ran it twice before anyone ever came to the door. Then when […] I entered i noticed a strong odor in the lobby. I told the front desk lady that I was checking in. She asked for my name, CC and ID. She then asked what I wanted for my room. I said something in the front of the building because it was dark around the back. She then scanned my ID and put the image into the computer system. She pulled up a file and it had several license images from other guests. I had never seen this before and I thought it was strange so i asked her why she needed to keep an image. She got VERY defensive about it and then proceeded to tell me that she needed all my car info, including the license plate and that its required by NJ law to get this information. She said that at the end of every month they send all the images and files to the police department. I dropped the whole subject because she was starting to get VERY rude and at that point i was so exhausted from working all day, that i didn't need someone yelling at me for questioning why they needed my personal information. She gave me my key and told me I was on the second floor on the end. I went back to my car, got my stuff and proceeded to find my room. She was right, all the way on the end. When i was in the office i specifically said i wanted a room in the FRONT so i didn't have to go on the side where it was dark. So she gave me a room on the end, which i had to walk all the way around the back of the building to use the stairs to get to the first floor. When i got into my room it smelled sooo bad. We stood at this place last year and although it wasn't wonderful it wasn't too bad for the price. My how a year changes things! This place has turned into a dump. After I paid for the room online, the lady said I had to let her take a copy of my credit card which I was not informed before coming to the hotel.
