"Nice Staff, Dirty Room"
While the attendant was nice and the location was convenient, the room was very dirty. There were pieces of the ceiling falling. The bath tub obviously had a huge crack that had been covered with a very thin material. I was scared to move in the shower, afraid I might fall through. The shower curtain was dirty; there was shaved hair and mildew. There […] were large pieces of trash on the already filthy carpet. The remote control to the television did not work. We had to get an iron from the front desk, no ironing board by the way, and the first iron did not work. The toilet was dirty. The room looked as if it had never been cleaned. "Hotel in Absencan, NJ- close to Atlantic City"
I would like to take this opportunity to let you know the horrible condition this room was in. There are several items that required attention: Rusted features (powder room area); TV remote had no batteries, however the clerk replaced them and the remote still did not work; furniture was soiled/stained; it was a non-smoking room, however smelt like […] smoke; blanket on the bed was soiled/stained; several of the towels were terribly soiled/stained; toilet bowl was stained/soiled. I spent 25 years in the military and stayedat the Days Inn numerous times however this was the worst hotel experience I've ever had. I was just diagnosed with breast cancer and this room made me feel very dirty. I slept on top of the comforter. For a 2 star rated hotel it should be a 0 rating. The first guy that checked us in was very friendly and kind, had a great personality. The rooms were a nice size, was not too happy with the huge window next to the bed that people were able to look in at, but curtains made it "harder" for people to look in. The walls were a little thin, heard some people arguing during the night, and the bed was a […] little firm for my likings, but for the price and the location (right next to a U-Turn light if coming back from AC, and only 5 miles from the city) I am not really complaining. we actually checked in at 3:40 and were in a different hotel by 4:30. the time spent in that room was on the internet and phone finding a different place to stay. we would have rather gone home and lost our money than stayed in that disgusting place. There was a ton of mold on the bathroom walls and ceiling and also on the ceiling right outside of the bathroom. Apparently, they are not using the proper paint to inhibit such growth. Yuck! Would definitely not stay there again because of this!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
