I stayed here with my girlfriend for five nights while in D.C. to visit my sister. The house is beautiful and very well maintained. The location is wonderful; the U-street Metro station is less than a ten minute walk from the front door and will get a traveler quickly and easily around the city. This is the best B&B I've ever stayed at. The surroundings are gorgeous, breakfast is wonderful and there is even a wine happy hour at 5:30 pm. David and his dog, Maddie, welcome you and make you feel at home. I would definitely recommend this B&B.

This B&B is a great getaway if you're looking to feel like you're part of DC instead of just staying there. I'm a professional traveler, and I have to say that this was the refreshing vacation I needed. I stayed at the William Lewis house for 4 nights/ 5 days with my girlfriend, and we would have stayed longer if we could have. They served breakfast […] at 830 on the weekends, and buffet style during the week which worked great for my schedule. Everything was homemade, and they even have a espresso machine available to guests downstairs in the dining room. I honestly felt like I was staying with a friend while in town instead of at a hotel. The staff were great, and very helpful the entire time we were there. "R" Street is a popular connector street so it was easy to catch a cab during the week, but you'll need to call for one on the weekends. We loved to stay at the Williams House and highly recommend it to everyone, who likes to meet other people and socialize. The house and amenities itself are charming and lovingly decorated. Our room was the only room with a TV, as we were told. The shared bathroom was the only thing we disliked but the house made up for it, with its romantic style. […] The cooked breakfast on the weekends and the free wine in the evenings are sensational, if you like meeting other people. Our room was at the back at the top of a narrow staircase. The bed was old and a bit small, but the room was clean and tidy with a bathroom shared with the other room on the top floor. Breakfast was great, presenting a chance to meet the host and other guests. The neighbourhood was pleasant and handy to coffe shops and metro.

Mycket trevligt och mysigt hotell eller snarare B&B. Bra service från personalen. Bra frukost i mycket avkopplande och mysig miljö. Barer och restauranger finns i närheten. 5-10 minuters promenad till metro. Safebox på rummet. Un séjour magnifique à Washington qui est une très belle ville, renforcé par la qualité du B&B dans lequel nous avons logé. Une superbe maison victorienne tenue par Ron&David et leur chienne Maddy, charmants! Nous sommes arrivés très tard le samedi soir, ça n'a posé aucun problème et après une bonne nuit de sommeil nous sommes allés prendre le petit […] déjeuner dans la salle à manger commune avec un de nos hôtes et les autres personnes de l'hôtel. Un très bon moment de convivialité et en plus on s'est régalés avec les plats préparés maison. Les autres jours un petit déjeuner continental est proposé avec muffins fait maison, bagels, croissants, céréales, salades de fruits fraiches, cookies, oeufs, quiches aux légumes, yaourts.....La chambre est faite tous les jours, mise à dispo d'un MAC avec connexion internet, pas de TV. Une très jolie salle de bain commune par étage. Le soir en rentrant d'une longue journée de marche vous pouvez déguster un verre de Chardonnay en grignotant un mix de nuts et/ou des cookies. Et pour clore, il est situé à 5 min à pieds d'une station de métro. Nous recommandons donc vivement cet hôtel qui a été une très belle découverte! Read more

Underbart hotel! Två stycken tvåvåningshus som sitter ihop och skapar denna underbara lilla bed and breakfast. Dave som är ägaren är en otroligt trevlig och vänlig person. Det tar en liten stund att gå dit ifrån centralen, runt 40min vilket är ok. Att gå ner till centrum är helt ok! runt 30min, gå i så fall 14th street vilken är finast.

Chez David, c'est comme à la maison et il fait tout pour que l'on se sente à l'aise. L'établissement se trouve idéalement placé entre les quartiers vivants de Dupont Circle et U street, tout en bénéficiant d'un environnement très calme et à proximité du métro.C'est un lieu idéal pour faire des rencontres avec les autres locataires et notamment lors […] des désormais légendaires petit déjeuners du week-end ou les résidents se retrouvent autour de la table pour partager un moment convivial et chaleureux. Tout d'abord, ne vous attendez pas à un hôtel, ce n'en est pas un. Nous sommes accueillis par David (très gentil) et son chien Maddy qui nous conduisent dans leur maison de style "victorienne" (c'est à dire le genre de décoration d'une maison hantée), des marches qui craquent (pas d’ascenseur) , des lumières sombres, une salle de bain commune par étage […] (3 chambres) . Petit déjeuner royal, avec des gâteaux fait maison, salade de fruits frais...etc. Je suis très partagée entre cette maison qui met un peu mal à l'aise et le super accueil que nous avons eu.
