Valet parking costs USD 34.00 per day
We have included all charges provided to us by this hotel. However, charges can vary, for example, based on length of stay or the room you book.
Downtown DC is awash with culture. The Smithsonian Institution museum complex flanks the National Mall. The Washington Monument bisects the Mall, just south of the White House. Federal agency headquarters house bureaucrats of varying stripes. Moneyed and powerful lobbyists help create (and quash) laws from K Street. Chinatown and the Washington Convention Center lie east of downtown.

Convient to get around. Close to several great eateries. One block from metro station. Great expierence, staff was great. included breakfast was always well maintained with plenty of selections. I would stay there again if I were going to Washington.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location for first time D.C. visit"
If your not trying to spend an "arm and a leg" on downtown D.C. hotels, I highly recommend the Hampton Inn Washington Downtown-Convention Center. The overall experience was great. I recommend getting the parking package which should also come w complimentary breakfast. Parking is not convenient, so if your not trying to drive around in circles, especially […] if your married or have kids I recommend the parking package (you get the hotel valet service). Breakfast was a decent selection: various breads to toast, waffel maker, juice bar, yogurt, pastries, hard boiled eggs, and other various breakfast selections. The pool is good for kids, it is only about 4' deep and there is a hot tub. Room was good enough for a short 2.5 day stay. The hotel location is no more than 5 minutes driving to the Smithsonian exhibits. You are within 5 minutes walking to the Verizon Center (for basketball fans) and also to Chinatown. Food selection and great restaurants was not an issue. This was a fun stay. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

The hotel was very nice and clean but the room next to me was smoking in a NON smoking hotel!! About 11:00 at night my room started to smell of smoke, it was coming in through the bathroom air vents. I told the front desk but nothing ever came of it!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"great location"
We stayed at this hotel for a long weekend adn the location was great. 2 blocks from the metro, the verizon center and good places to eat. You do need to walk two blocks though as there is nothing really closer. Staff was friendly and attentive. Parking was $35.00 plus $6 plus tax..Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Phenomenal"
This hotel was everything I expected and more. First off the location was very close to many shops and restaurants. The staff was extremely friendly and very helpful. And most importantly, the room itself was very clean and provided for a lovely weekend.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Downtown Washington- close to metro station"
The hotel is located only a few blocks from a metro station and the national mall, museums and restaurants are within walking distance. We really enjoyed the indoor pool and hot tub, our room was lovely, great breakfast and friendly staff! The little office section with internet access and printer is also great. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the […] Hampton Inn. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Breakfast & Indoor Pool/Hot Tub"
The main reason we went with this hotel was that it included a free continental breakfast and many other hotels either don't offer one or charge extra. The other big draw was that this hotel actually lists having an indoor pool and hot tub. The hot tub was typical size and pool was just big enough. A soak in the hot tub is a must after all of the walking […] you do in a day of sightseeing in DC. The breakfast was truly amazing and a little different each day with variety! "Hampton Inn - close to China town in D.C."
Everyone working at this hotel was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was wonderful. Loved the refreshments all day long...it was very inviting. One small thing I would change is the pool. The pool was a bit murky as was the hot tub (next too the pool). Plus the water temperature in the hot tub was a tad over luke warm. Besides that, the hotel was […] fantastic. I would definitely return to this same hotel again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close to sights great for walking"
This hotel was great for us. We were able to walk all over DC and to some meals. The complimentary breakfast is really nice. Fruit, bread, danishes, boiled eggs, cereal, yogurt, juice, milk, waffle maker, these already made little omelets (not bad) and bagel halves with stuff on top (too fake for me, but not bad) and coffee. The lobby is really pretty […] and the rooms are pretty big for dc. Before we had stayed in the Marriott in dupont circle and the room was tiny. This was bigger, but the bedding is not half as nice as Marriott. Parking is 34 a day, not including tax which is 4 and change. Chinatown is right there and Busboys and Poets was a great place to eat just around the corner. Its location really can't be beat and it was quite nice. Good deal. "Great Hotel"
This was our first time at a Hampton Inn but it will not be our last! The hotel was exceptionally clean and all the staff were very friendly. The complimentary breakfast was delicious although seating was sometimes an issue. If you got to the lobby at a busy time, you may have to stand to eat you breakfast cause all the seats may be taken. But we didn't […] have that issue. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk to the National Mall and about 3 minutes to 7th street that has a very vibrant night life and great restaurants. My husband utilized the hotels gym and swimming pool and was very pleased with both. I really have nothing bad to say about this hotel. We enjoyed our stay very much and had a wonderful and relaxing weekend in our nation's capital. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Hampton Inn DC - Good value"
We stayed at the Hampton Inn in DC as part of our anniversary celebration. It was a good value, and conveniently located for what we were doing. Everything is great, except the valet parking. It was almost 1/3 of the price of the room, and service was terrible - I waited with my car for 15 minutes at check-in, and apparently there was only one person […] on duty. When we checked out, we called ahead to get the car. The car was waiting for us ... but there was no attendant, and no key. After waiting 10 minutes, we went back into the hotel, and found that the bellman had our keys. I think it's reasonable to expect better service than that, for the amount charged. "Rough Location- Would not Recommend"
While the hotel itself was perfectly acceptable, the location was not in a great part of town. It wasn't far to the major sights, but you had to walk past questionable characters hanging out on the sidewalk and front porches. When going out to dinner at night, we took a cab because we did not feel safe returning to the hotel by foot after dark. It's […] a shame because the hotel building is nice with clean, spacious rooms. Another downer is the $35 you have to pay for valet parking (and there are no parking garages around for self park, just shady parking lots). I thought the hotel breakfast was just fine, but my husband, who is more picky, said it was not worth it. Although the price was right, I would not recommend this hotel to a friend. "Good Hotel/Good Location"
Good, clean and comfortable hotel in a good location within walking distance of the Metro and a number of attractions. The hotel renovations however made the reception area and breakfast chaotic and unpleasant. Once completed, I am sure that the hotel will return to its previous standardsGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"The hampton inn"
A short walk from the sights, the room was very good with an empty fridge (not full of expensive things) and a coffee making machine, as well as a microwave. The breakfasts vere great. I loved the waffle making machine! They suited myself who likes cereals and fruit for breakfast and my husband who prefers a cooked breakfast. I also liked the hot drinks […] which were always available in the lobby. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
