The St. Gregory Hotel and Suites is located on the western perimeter of downtown Washington, D.C. This boutique hotel is less than three blocks from the Red Line at the Dupont Circle Metro Station. The White House is two miles from the hotel.
Hotel Features.
The lobby features marble floors, glittering chandeliers and a life-size Marilyn Monroe statue. Chef Ronde Murphy oversees the M Street Bar & Grill that prepares Mediterranean-influenced entrées and home-style dishes. The 21M Lounge is inspired by Marilyn Monroe. Designer Walter Gagliano created the lounge's glass sun room specifically for people-watching purposes. A second-floor self-service business center contains one computer and a printer. Wireless Internet access is available in public areas for a fee. A 24-hour fitness facility contains free weights and cardiovascular equipment. The hotel offers discounted passes to two health clubs within six blocks of the hotel. Valet parking is available for vehicles under six feet tall.

This nine-story property offers 154 guestrooms equipped with minibars. Suites contain both kitchenettes and minibars. Accommodations feature contemporary décor and afford city views. Décor details include gold and cream color palettes brightened with textured throw pillows and crimson bed scarves. Bathrooms feature pedestal sinks, large mirrors and shower/tub combinations. High-speed wired Internet access is available for a fee.

M Street Bar & Grill and 21M Lounge - A sleek, hip, and sensuous place to gather with friends, M Street Bar & Grill and 21M Lounge offer three different sections: a glass-enclosed lounge, popular for after-work gatherings, pre-dinner cocktails, and light fare; an outdoor patio with lounge seating; and an intimate seating area with plush booths. Creative and classic cocktails, innovative martinis, and creative bar menu for light fare.
The St. Gregory's second-floor fitness room has two treadmills, a weight machine with three types of weights, an exercise bike, stair machine, and television.
Hotel guests receive discounts at two of the city's best health clubs. The YMCA, located six blocks east, includes a 25-meter pool, racquetball/squash courts, and an indoor track; the Sports Club/LA, four blocks west, has lap pools, exercise classes, basketball, and spa services. Buffalo Billiards, one of the city's best-known pool and billiards halls, houses 30 tables (and five dart boards) in a cavernous underground room three blocks away.
The nearest golf course is 18-hole East Potomac Park Golf Course at Hains Point, about two miles away on the banks of the Potomac River. It has a two-tier driving range, as well as a miniature golf course that's on the National Register of Historic Places.

Mid-rises and mansions grace the leafy streets of Dupont Circle, where independent cafes and shops thrive. With a number of gay bars and businesses, this area is DC’s main gay neighborhood. Foreign flags fly high on Embassy Row, the stretch of Massachusetts Avenue from the Circle to the National Zoo and National Cathedral. At night, locals head north to Adams Morgan for drinks and live music.

"Good Deal"
I had a mini staycation with a friend and needed a hotel with a reasonable price. Considering the are (the "golden triangle"), I think I got a great deal. Their lounge has awesome specials: $5 cocktails, martinis, and apps all day. I would definitely stop there again when I am in D.C. I didn't need any service, so I can't speak on that. I had taken the red eye and arrived very early. I was met with the rudest night desk clerk. She explained my options and if I could have I would have booked another hotel. When I returned later in the afternoon, the two guys at the "day" desk were terrific, very accommodating and extremely helpful with transportation etc. All other staff were very helpful […] and courteous. For the price, this was a great choice for me. I had a comfy, clean room with a full oven, stove, microwave, coffee maker, fridge, and dishes. Awesome! "Comfortable DC hotel"
Convenient location, comfortable room, and professional staff. My only complaint is that the restaurant affiliated with the hotel, nice for a business-oriented Friday evening dinner, was inflexible in applying the discount promoted by the hotel at checkin. I forgot to bring the discount coupon with me when I went to dinner. I brought it to check-out, […] and the front desk staff called the restaurant manager to ask if he would apply the discount at that time. He came to the front desk, and told me no. On the plus side, the staff in the lobby was very good at helping me to quickly get through various things, like checking my luggage after checking out of my room, picking up the luggage later in the day, and arranging to mail me something that I had left behind, when I called to ask that they do so. "I would definitely do it again"
I stayed at this hotel once before this past visit. The room that i stayed in initially lost heat. I was told that i would get a space heater , which i was uncomfortable with , but after kindly speaking to the manager i was bumped to a suite. Overall I had a great experience here. I arrived early for check in and my room wasn't available, not a problem I waited at a Starbucks a few blocks away. I came back at 4 and there were still no king rooms available (which I had a reservation for) and was offered the opportunity to upgrade to a suite ($20/night extra) or take a room with two double […] beds. I took the double beds because I didn't want to wait any longer, but it would have been nice to be given the room I made a reservation for. Other than that the room was clean, the staff was helpful. The location was pretty good, a short 10 min walk from DuPont Circle red line or about 15 min walk to Farragut North. The surrounding restaurants close fairly early on Sundays but during the week there were plenty of options. No free wifi is strange but there is a Starbucks 2 blocks away where I was able to work. I had a great stay at the hotel - only one night-but it was very clean, quiet and very close to the office - I was able to walk. The rooms were very clean and relatively new. The hotel is in the optimal location for both business travelers and tourists to the District. It's very close to Dupont, Farragut and Foggy Bottom metro stops, and hence also close to key government, business and tourist sites and easy access via subway to everywhere else. For example, the ventilation systems are the old style dial in the unit with just hotter and colder settings, not a specific temperature. "Thin walls"
Our only problem was that a couple in the next room screamed and fought most of the night and into the morning. We reported the problem and were told security would take care of it. Things that stood out was the 2-room suite with a full kitchen that would comfortably sleep a family of 4 on long stays. Good location, walking distance to both Foggy Bottom and Dupont metro stations (though the southern Dupont Circle metro station is currently closed for renovations, have to walk across the circle to get into the station on the north side)--can take the blue line from Reagan National Airport, just walk 2 or so blocks north to the hotel from Foggy Bottom […] (much faster and cheaper than changing lines, cab will cost around $20). "Convenient Luxury"
A luxury hotel with all the service & amenities but not the price. The only add-on we paid for was overnight parking in their secure, underground garage, but it was worth it to be able to stash the car and forget about it while tooling around DC.
