Mid-rises and mansions grace the leafy streets of Dupont Circle, where independent cafes and shops thrive. With a number of gay bars and businesses, this area is DC’s main gay neighborhood. Foreign flags fly high on Embassy Row, the stretch of Massachusetts Avenue from the Circle to the National Zoo and National Cathedral. At night, locals head north to Adams Morgan for drinks and live music.

Very nice stay. The only problem is that the TV did not get the NBC Sports Network, formerly Comcast Sports Net. I missed the overtime period of the Caps game becuase of that.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Nice hotel, great food at the restaraunt within. Rooms were on the small side but nice. Able to walk a mile or so to the White House and other memorials.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good Deal"
I had a mini staycation with a friend and needed a hotel with a reasonable price. Considering the are (the "golden triangle"), I think I got a great deal. Their lounge has awesome specials: $5 cocktails, martinis, and apps all day. I would definitely stop there again when I am in D.C. I didn't need any service, so I can't speak on that. However, I did […] notice some dishes in the hallway for my entire stay (Saturday to Sunday). The hotel is older but not in a creepy / uncomfortable way. The room was VERY clean. I checked the mattresses and they were in great condition. I would definitely stay there again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Value"
The Gregory is an old hotel with some of the 'wrinkles' but a lot of compensating charm. The room was spacious and comfortable. The bar is very nice with great prices. The location is good. The service excellentGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Hotel staff"
I had taken the red eye and arrived very early. I was met with the rudest night desk clerk. She explained my options and if I could have I would have booked another hotel. When I returned later in the afternoon, the two guys at the "day" desk were terrific, very accommodating and extremely helpful with transportation etc. All other staff were very helpful […] and courteous. I would not have known that after that night clerk experience. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Great location and really comfy bed and pillows. Unfortunately, we were in the room right by the elevator, so noise was an issue.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"I hate it when hotel is charging for Internet."
I would not stay there for long. No breakfest, no free internet.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel was nice and convenient to Dupont Circle. It is a good 15-20 minute walk to the Mall, but on a nice day isn't that bad at all. The room was a good size and clean. Overall a good hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Good and Cheap in central DC"
Had a conference at National Geographic headquarters, this hotel was 4 blocks away on M at 20th. Great value for money given the location. Staff was charming, happy, making me feel really welcome (not easy!). Small check-in counter and building has other tenants (people at ground floor restaurant-bar). Room decor was dated but clean and well kept. Front […] looking 2nd floor room was a bit noisy (light sleepers beware) but did not bother me at all. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
I've stayed at this hotel twice. I love it and it's location is ideal. I'd recommend this place to anyone.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
For the price, this was a great choice for me. I had a comfy, clean room with a full oven, stove, microwave, coffee maker, fridge, and dishes. Awesome! The kitchen looks a little outdated, but who cares? It works and it's clean. The staff was nice. The hotel could use an updated info sheet for services and facilities available in the hotel and menus […] for their restaurants. Also, a metro map in the room would be great for us out-of-towners. "Overall great, just one complaint"
For the price, it's a great value, the only complaint I have is a Housekeeping issue. When I uncovered the bed spreads, I found three different hairs. Other than that, hotel was clean and in a good location.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Comfortable DC hotel"
Convenient location, comfortable room, and professional staff. My only complaint is that the restaurant affiliated with the hotel, nice for a business-oriented Friday evening dinner, was inflexible in applying the discount promoted by the hotel at checkin. I forgot to bring the discount coupon with me when I went to dinner. I brought it to check-out, […] and the front desk staff called the restaurant manager to ask if he would apply the discount at that time. He came to the front desk, and told me no. On the plus side, the staff in the lobby was very good at helping me to quickly get through various things, like checking my luggage after checking out of my room, picking up the luggage later in the day, and arranging to mail me something that I had left behind, when I called to ask that they do so. "I would definitely do it again"
I stayed at this hotel once before this past visit. The room that i stayed in initially lost heat. I was told that i would get a space heater , which i was uncomfortable with , but after kindly speaking to the manager i was bumped to a suite. Overall i had a great stay in a great location.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Stay For The Price"
The hotel room was clean, service was fine and the room commodities were superb for the price. Parking was awful, although they had valet, it was still confusing...Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great Hotel. Great Value. Just one major gripe...."
Room was very nice and looked high-end. Staff was great. My only issue (and it's a major issue for me) is that they charged $12 per day for internet. Who still does that??? I can get free internet access at a gas station. No "business" hotel should still be charging for internet.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice Hotel, good location-would stay again"
Overall I had a great experience here. I arrived early for check in and my room wasn't available, not a problem I waited at a Starbucks a few blocks away. I came back at 4 and there were still no king rooms available (which I had a reservation for) and was offered the opportunity to upgrade to a suite ($20/night extra) or take a room with two double […] beds. I took the double beds because I didn't want to wait any longer, but it would have been nice to be given the room I made a reservation for. Other than that the room was clean, the staff was helpful. The location was pretty good, a short 10 min walk from DuPont Circle red line or about 15 min walk to Farragut North. The surrounding restaurants close fairly early on Sundays but during the week there were plenty of options. No free wifi is strange but there is a Starbucks 2 blocks away where I was able to work. I would stay here again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Great one night stay for business"
I had a great stay at the hotel - only one night-but it was very clean, quiet and very close to the office - I was able to walk. The rooms were very clean and relatively new. Only downside was the charge for Wifi. Had a drink in the bar the night I arrived and they were very friendly & great service. No complaints at all!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Tired infrastructure, but super service and locati"
The hotel is in the optimal location for both business travelers and tourists to the District. It's very close to Dupont, Farragut and Foggy Bottom metro stops, and hence also close to key government, business and tourist sites and easy access via subway to everywhere else. The neighborhood is also close to plenty of good restaurants. The building itself […] is a bit old and in need of updates. For example, the ventilation systems are the old style dial in the unit with just hotter and colder settings, not a specific temperature. The fitness facility is just barely acceptable in size and variety of equipment. Hotel service is superb! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Thin walls"
Our only problem was that a couple in the next room screamed and fought most of the night and into the morning. We reported the problem and were told security would take care of it. The noise stopped for a while, then was going full throttle again before sunrise and then again at 10 AM. We didn't get much sleep that night and not much of an apology […] from the hotel. great hotel, excellent breakfast, attentive serviceGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great for families, long stays with full kitchen"
Things that stood out was the 2-room suite with a full kitchen that would comfortably sleep a family of 4 on long stays. Full kitchen meant oven, stove top, dishwasher, coffee maker, 3/4 fridge, dinnerware, etc. rooms were small, so not for hyper rowdy kids. Bathroom was basic, waffle robe, no slippers.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Good location"
Good location, walking distance to both Foggy Bottom and Dupont metro stations (though the southern Dupont Circle metro station is currently closed for renovations, have to walk across the circle to get into the station on the north side)--can take the blue line from Reagan National Airport, just walk 2 or so blocks north to the hotel from Foggy Bottom […] (much faster and cheaper than changing lines, cab will cost around $20). Staff were friendly and accommodating. Room was clean and comfortable, though we were on the M Street side and it was very noisy (we were on the 5th floor)--not sure if the 21st Street side would be quieter. "Enormous Suites-Great Dupont Circle Location"
This place was a find---I was skeptical because for the price in DC it seemed to good to be true. The rooms were HUGE, seriously apartment-sized. If you are coming to DC for a long stay, this is the place. Not "elite" service or amenities, but nice helpful folks. If you are on an extended business trip and appreciate lots of room in a clean, comfortable, […] well-located hotel. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great stay, would come again."
The staff could not have been better. The front desk, the M street restaurant attached to the hotel were truly fantastic, accomodating, pleasant, kind...really can't say enough. The room was lovely and comfortable and much larger than I had anticipated. The only small thing was the sink wasn't attached very well in the bathroom and the cold water kept […] releasing hot water...more minor fixes or updates than anything else. Great stay overall, rooms are nice for the price. TV's in our room were updated. I wish I would have known there was a tape deck in the room, I would have dug up my old cassettes! The bar and lounge were nice, but not not much else on the surrounding block, good news is there a is alot more once you get two blocks from hotel. We are would definitely […] stay here again, never more than a $10 cab ride to most anywhere in the downtown. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Decent place"
The suite is fine. The only glitch is a $12 a day wireless charge - which is unfair since there are numerous cafe's very close. The room is good and it's nice to have a full fridge, stove, sink etc if you are staying a while. Thousands of restaurants nearby in Dupont CircleGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Convenient Luxury"
A luxury hotel with all the service & amenities but not the price. The only add-on we paid for was overnight parking in their secure, underground garage, but it was worth it to be able to stash the car and forget about it while tooling around DC. The St. Gregory is located right between two major metro stops (Dupont Circle & Farragut West) with tons […] of eateries, shops and cafes nearby. The suite comes with a full kitchen, two TVs, decent pull-out sofa bed and plenty of room, so provided a good respite for breaks from the sites. For the price and location I would definitely stay again! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
