The Crowne Plaza Hamilton is smoke-free. The hotel's 14K Restaurant serves breakfast buffets daily, lunch buffets weekdays, and a la carte dinner nightly. Room service is available (limited hours). In warm weather, guests can dine out on the patio. The 24-hour fitness center features cardio machines with individual TVs. A business center is also open around the clock.

"Wonderful for business trips"
The hotel staff, from the front desk, concierge, valet, bellman were very friendly and so willing to help. We were able to get directions, they printed out mapquest directions, pointed us in the right direction everytime we left the hotel. Our room service food was great. We had a great room. My stay was very good, with the exception of the hotel's Internet service. I'm the Editor of a daily Internet publication and I found myself having to wait for an extremely slow Internet connection, that constantly threw me off-line, or sat wasting my time while it loaded. This is great hotel for business travel. I was close to major places I needed to do business, Capitol Hill and surrounding places. Even conducted two meetings in the hotel itself. I couldn't find the parking and then when I did they closed up at 5pm and I was stuck for another night before I could leave. "perfect locale"
We stayed during a conference at the Convention Center. It was the perfect location. We walked to the conference, came back for lunch and walked back to the conference for the afternoon. There were a few strange things abou tthe hotel. There was no fridge or microwave in the room, the ice machines were bascially non-existent, and there were no drawers in any of the dressers. "Hamilton Crown Plaza, Washington DC"
150% more expensive than the Grand Hyatt Convention Center, DC - with an "upgrade" upon check-in, my room was half the size of the Hyatt, two light bulbs blew out, there were no instructions on how to use the alarm clock, and one of the phones was dead. Overall, a decent experience. Top quality, middle value for the brand. The business center charges for everything including internet, copying, printing, etc. Unfortunately, the wifi is painfully slow, and it is easy to rack up $14 in charges just to print out a boarding pass and check email.
