    Location.
    The Fairmont Washington D.C. stands in the fashionable West End neighborhood of Washington, D.C. Georgetown is located three blocks away. The White House is one mile from this property.

    Hotel Features.
    The hotel's elegant, light-filled lobby overlooks a popular wedding site, the garden courtyard, that features a fountain and is furnished with umbrella-shaded tables. Juniper Restaurant offers indoor and garden dining, and is decorated in botanical hues. The menu lists American comfort food made with locally grown ingredients. The 24-hour business center houses four computer stations and is staffed during business hours. Wireless Internet access is available for a surcharge in common areas. The Fairmont Washington D.C. boasts one of the district's largest fitness and health facilities. The health club contains massage and beauty-treatment rooms, a lap pool, tanning booths and steam rooms. The fitness facility overlooks the indoor pool and contains television-mounted cardiovascular and weight-training machines, Pilates equipment, squash and racquetball courts, a half-basketball court, Kinesis machines and a spinning room.

    Guestrooms.
    This 10-story hotel offers 415 guestrooms equipped with high-speed Internet access for a surcharge, and CD players.     It was my first time at the Fairmont in Washington DC - but it surely won't be my last. The proximity to both Georgetown and Dupont Circle is ideal. The room I stayed in was both large and airy.Highly recommend this hotel.

    The air conditioner was loud and went on and off every five min. The toilet ran. The majority of the staff spoke english as a second language so communication was not always easy. The lobby area was 4 star but the service and room were two star.

    I'd stayed at the Fairmont before. It's a great hotel in a very nice part of town, very near Georgetown. I got a fantastic rate on Hotels.com and though I was paying a fraction of what I normally would have, the hotel gave me a beautiful room and the service was outstanding.

    The room and hotel was pretty standard for a 4 star hotel. But the service was pretty bad. We found the front desk attendant to be pretty unfriendly and confused. They gave us a noisy room and when we asked about it the next day they said we'd have to pay $50 more to move to a quieter room the next night. To be nickel and dimed at the Fairmont? Very […] bad for the brand. All the other branded hotels (Hilton, Westin, etc.) would have done it for free in two seconds. We also ordered room service and most of the food was not great. Read more

    The hotel was very nice very clean...rooms were basic...bathroom was basic expected a little bit bigger room and bathroom. Hotel on the pricey side for a 4 diamond.

    Made a reservation through expedia, and my flight as well as all flight possibilities from my area were cancelled due to bad weather. The hotel was unwilling to give any kind of refund at all. Understandable if I changed plans, but for bad weather?!?! I tried working with both Expedia and the hotel staff, but just ended up wasting an hour. Completely […] unaccomodating.     I travel often to DC for business and have stayed in over a dozen hotels in the DC area, and recommend this hotel. It is close to many great restaurants and walking distance to all the shops in Georgetown which is convenient. Also within walking distance to the metro.     I stay at the DC Fairmont once each year around the holiday season. It is always a good experience. The staff is helpful and the rooms are comfortable. I did sense a bit of a decline in the "luxury" of the hotel this year. Two of the lamps in my room didn't quite work and there was a problem with the bathroom plug. It doesn't seem as if maintenance […] is quite up to speed. The hotel was, however, very responsive when notified of the problems. The hotel is in a good neighborhood that's convenient to Georgetown, Dupont Circle and not too far from the metro. I do find that I'm able to get a better rate on hotels.com than through the hotel. All in all a good place to stay that I will continue to visit. Read more

    Great location close to Georgetown, nice ,clean Hotel. The things who bother me is they have a pool and a sport center but they charge you $10.00 to use it and an another $15.95 for using the wifi.If you pay $300. a night to stay I find it to be tacky to beHerve charge extra,

    Perhaps the Fairmont could be located closer to a DC Metro stop, or maybe a shorter walk to either the Mall or Georgetown, but beyond that there is nothing I can think of that would make it any better than it is. The bar did advertise a 'Happy Hour' but when we went to take advantage of it were told that it only applied on weekdays and not the weekend. […] Boo. They held two Christmas receptions in the lobby lounge that would have been more convenient to non-receptionguests had they been held elsewhere in the hotel.....but these are very minor faults in an otherwise typically satisfiede experience.
