    Hotel was under renovation. Quiet during evening hours though. Rooms were clean except for crumbs on the carpet. Some furniture needs updating. Service... was decent. Breakfast was so-so; mostly pastries, yogurt and fruit cocktail juice. Would've liked more protein options (e.g. Peanut butter, hard boiled eggs) and better tasting coffee (it said Starbucks but sure didn't taste like it). Loved the quaint street and location is ideal for walking to restaurants, the metro, etc. would probably stay again. by a Hotels.com guest on 04/15/13

    Went to Washington DC for the first time with an all adult family group. This hotel is pretty well located, close to most interest sites in the city. Initially planned to go by train from NYC, but finally decided to rent a van for the group. Parking was challenging in the city, and valet at the hotel is expensive.

    Nice place to stay. Loved that it was close to Whole Foods and the Metro. THe room was very clean and nicely decorated. The free breakfast wasn't really much of anything but I don't really care about that.

    Excellent room, comfy bed, love the neighborhood. I've stayed at this Doubletree before & it's my fav hotel in Foggy Bottom. Staff is awesome & attentive. 2 small issues they addressed: 1. My room was next to a guest with 2 small dogs that yapped as soon as the owner left the room at 7am, all morning. Not the staff's fault, but they were trying to contact […] the owner. 2. I prepaid via Hotels.com in January, but received a strange $209+ (Doubletree not Hotels.com) charge on my bill 2 days after I checked-out. Doubletree refunded within the week. I hope to stay here again, but not next to a room of dogs with separation anxiety issues. Read more

    My stay at the Double Tree was FABULOUS!!! Starbucks Coffee was served in the lobby; the full cafe was within 2 blocks.Complimentary fruit was available 24 hrs. It was with easy walking distance to the Kennedy Center. The Orange/Blue line Metro stop was literally around the corner. The Grayline Tour Hop On Hop Off stopped 2 blocks away. This is the […] idea location if you don't HAVE to be downtown. You can get there with in minutes anyway., I would stay there again in a heartbeat and will the next time I visit DC. Read more

    Stayed a long weekend at the hotel. Great location, friendly staff, good accomodations. There is a Safeway, Starbucks and 7-Eleven within 3 blocks. George Washington University is within a block. Verty convenient to the Mall on foot. There is no restaraunt at the hotel but there are several right around there including a very nice Italian restaraunt […] across the street.     Our stay at the Doubletree was very nice and very comfortable. We found the staff to be very accommodating, friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable and we would stay there again in the future.
