This is a great clean hotel. Only about a block away from a metro subway station. Free breakfast in the morning was very good probably one of the best free breakfasts I have ever had. A superb stay at the Fairfield. Were looking for a hotel that provided a good value, and this hotel provided exactly that. Located in the Chinatown section of Washington, D.C. It's the perfect location if you're visiting the Verizon Center. It's literally right around the corner within walking distance (two minutes tops to get there). There are several eating locations around the corner as well on 7th Street and shopping options very nearby within walking distance. The […] hotel has a modern decor, the staff members that we encountered were professional and courteous, and the entire building was extremely clean. Here's a tidbit of information for you to consider. Valet parking is $39 per night. Garage/Self parking is located down the street for $24 per night. You also have the option of parking on the street if you're lucky enough to find a space. However, if you're unfamiliar with D.C. that may not be wise because you're sure to get a ticket whether you're parked legally or not. It's not uncommon to see three parking signs on one pole that all contradict each other. We wanted somewhere close to the Verizon Center so we didn't have to drive back to Richmond after a concert, and it was perfect - walked to dinner, walked to the concert and walked back to the hotel. Great hotel, very very clean. Nicest staff ever! We had multiple requests and they took very good care of us. Outlets galore in the room, clean Asian influenced decor. Parking charge, but free breakfast and wireless. Wireless was great, both of us could be on at once! Book a suite if you can, the king bed room was a little tight. Near the Verizon Center […] (about two blocks) if you want to go there but they will close the roads watch out if the President does too! Six long blocks to the National Gallery of Art, Portrait Gallery and Nat'l Building Museum are even closer. The hotel was excellent, staff was excellent and the room was excellent! Everything in the room looked new. Bathroom was very clean and new looking! Bed sheets smelled clean and fresh, had 5 feathered pillows on each bed. Marriott is known for their soft comfortable beds. Staff was very friendly. The breakfast that was included was excellent with lots […] to choose from and good quality food. Coffee, tea and hot chocolate was available 24 hours a day in the lobby. They put out great tasting cookies around 3:00 pm in the lobby. For the price you cant beat it. It was better that what I expected. Hotel location was very good, on the edge of China town. A good variety of places to eat outside the hotel. Hotel is 2 blocks from the Metro Subway. I would definitely stay here again and I highly recommend it to any family visiting DC.
