Hotel was undergoing some small cosmetic work (new signage), so we would occasionally see the mess left by the drills. Odd juxtaposition of old building with modern furnishings. Capital Hill Suites was a great hotel for a memorable stay. It is conviently located about two blocks away from the capital. This made it easy to walk to most of our desired locations. It is also only about two blocks away from the Metra. However, if you have a car its more of a nuisance. The rate for parking your car at the hotel is $32 a day. Although this is quite expensive there are not many other choices as to where to park your car since its almost impossible to street park it anywhere in the washington dc area. They also serve breakfast every morning. This consists of mainly bagels, toasts, and dry ceral. Overall, I really enjoyed my experience. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. First time in DC and wanted to be close to the Metro because we did not want the hassle or expense of renting a car....The hotel was a great distance from the Metro but very expensive to travel to from Dulles airport. Der Aufenthalt im Capitol Hill Hotel hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Die Ausstattung und besonders die Sauberkeit der Zimmer lassen nichts zu wünschen übrig. Besonders hervorzuheben ist zum einen die Lage, die sämtliche Sehenswürdigkeiten im Fußmarsch erreichen läßt. Bis zum Capitol sind es lediglich ca. 300 m, Washington Memorial, Lincoln Memorial und das […] Weiße Haus können nach einem Spaziergang durch die Washington Mall bequem erreicht werden. Interssante Viertel wie Chinatown, Penn und Downtown können ebenfalls in wenigen Minuten erreicht werden. "Fußmüde" können die U-Bahn um die Ecke benutzen. Weiterhin ist das Personal des Hotels überaus freundlich, flexibel und hilfsbereit und stehen mit sehr guten Ratschlägen zur Seite. Eine kleine Einschränkung stellt das Frühstück dar, dass, gemessen an deutschen Standards zwar ausbaufähig ist, sich aber mit dem amerikanischen Frühstück anderer, höherbewerteter Hotels messen kann.
