Hotel staff very friendly. Decor is nice, although the underlying structure of room was a bit dated (stucco walls, for example). I was attending hearing at Supreme Court so the location was perfect. This is a wonderful hotel if you need to be on Capitol Hill for business or visit to Library of Congress. It was perfect for my meeting at LoC but certainly out of way for MOST DC attractions. The staff is great and the included breakfast was beyond my expectations. They even had danish in lobby at noon. My room - though called a Junior Suite - had […] a queen size bed and a "lounge" chair. The fridge and microwave were nice tought. ONLY weakness was that this room (427) had thin wall so that I could clearly hear the folks in 428. My view was of back of hotel and so I had no street noise. Doesn't get any closer to the Hill. That being said, the neighborhood is a bit sketchy at night, so be advised. The hotel itself is nicely furnished, and in good condition. I am not sure how attentive the cleaning staff is (my fridge was not cleaned out from the previous room occupant, my trash was not taken away during my stay). Rooms are nicely sized […] but walls are thin so you may hear other guests from time to time. Staff I interacted with were friendly and competent. Check-in and check-out were a breeze. Terrific location close to Metro Capitol South Station, but be advised you have to transfer trains from Union Station, so it will be a quicker walk. There is not as much "life" nearby as if you stay in Dupont Circle or the downtown areas; farther to go for restaurants, shopping, yoga or gyms, etc. I would stay here again. "Chic little hotel in great neighborhood"
This is a great little hotel very conveniently located across the street from the Library of Congress and one block away from the Capitol South Metro stop. The neighborhood is great with quite a number of places to dine. There is also a small supermarket one block away. My only issue was the free Wi-Fi. I was given a lovely, sunny corner room at the end of a corridor, but the Wi-Fi signal was so weak that I couldn't connect to the Internet. I was quickly moved to a room closer to the core of the building and had no problems there.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

The price was reasonable for being so close to Capitol Hill. The ONLY negative I have is that the electrical outlets in the room had issues and there was only one that would power a hair dryer and it was not by a mirror. Bed was super comfortable and absolutely no evidence of bed bugs. "The perfect place to stay in DC"
This hotel is perfect for a business or leisure traveler. It is located just blocks away from the Metro on top of Capitol Hill, Congress and Supreme Court. The neighborhood has a variety of restaurants to choose from within walking distance and if you want to go someplace else you can take the metro. The suites are fully equipped with a fridge and microwave […] and are large and comfortable. I wasn't really a fan of the free breakfast, but if you just want something to grab and go it works. Capitol Hill suites are conveniently located to Capitol hill and metro. There are several reasonable restaurants, markets and stores in the neighborhood. Hotels.com stated that CC only for maintaining the reservations. 2 guests including colleague checked in. Agent at checkin asked for 2 credit cards and mentioned that room charge would be separated accordingly. Ultimately both the rooms charged in one name i.e. me Sunder Vaidyanathan who had booked on the phone through Hotels.com. The lady on the phone […] on hotels.com also confirmed my CC would not be charged for both the rooms. Bad Coordination and service.
