The 10-story red brick hotel blends modern design with Shaker-style elements. Glass sculptures, natural wooden floors and contemporary art by Picasso, Kenneth Noland and Joan Miro continue the hotel's theme. Blue Duck Tavern, the hotel's on-site restaurant, serves slow-roasted dishes in a contemporary tavern setting. An open kitchen and wood-burning oven add to the restaurant's atmosphere. A cook-to-order breakfast is served daily and more than 50 rare and limited production teas are available at the hotel's Tea Cellar. Additional amenities include a 24-hour business center, complimentary wired and wireless Internet access, computer station, exhibit space, audio-visual equipment, as well as translation services and technology support staff. The hotel features a 24-hour fitness center, and health club. A sky-lit, heated indoor pool, steam room, and spa tub are on-site. The Spa Room offers treatments inculding scented mud masques, cleansing facials, or full body massages. Hair care, manicures and pedicures are also available at Park Hyatt Washington's 1201 Salon.

"Great Services But Nothing Else"
Staff are very nice and friendly. One outstanding staff is the gentleman that checked us in, he has gone extra miles to assist us. Other pros are the bathroom amenities. However, the rooms are very small, two twin beds are size single instead of double or queen sizes, I am small built but I nearly fell off the bed a couple of times. Throughout the stay […] we can hear the noisy bang bang from the air conditioning, my 73 year old mother couldn't sleep because of this. There are no coffee making facility in the room, for the amount of money that we paid for the room, breakfast wasn't included and no free wi-fi. "Disappointing"
Given the rates we were paying I did not expect to have to pay extra for wireless internet. Even the cheapest places we stayed in offered free WiFi. The did offer wired internet but unless you have a laptop that doesn't help.
