"Nice rooms, noisy stay"
We enjoyed the location of the hotel. There was some banging and drilling that we heard throughout the day and it sounded like they were doing some renovations. Unfortunately we were all awakened at 3:30 AM when someone pulled the fire alarm. There was no fire but the alarms kept going off for the next hour and we had to go down 8 flights of stairs […] to learn it was a false alarm and could return to our rooms. The breakfast was very nice and the staff at the hotel seemed very pleasant. They were very helpful calling cabs and handling the luggage. I don't believe that we would stay there again however because of the noise and the issue with the fire alarms. "Brilliant for sight seeing"
Really nice hotel, very clean and spacious. Staff are really friendly and the room was a nice size. Minutes away from the white house so made sit seeing easy as well as locating the hotel after a long day out seeing the sights. Bar is comfortable and reasonably priced. Roughly 5 blocks from simthsonian mall. Clean hotel, expensive breakfast buffet $22 per person. But great food and excellent service. Restaurants locally are very good. You will notice that the hotel rooms are small and dated, but you cannot beat the location (few blocks from the white house). The room was not as clean as we had hoped, but we were only there for one night.
