The Grand Hyatt Washington, D.C., (Center) is conveniently located in Washington, D.C., two blocks from the Orange, Blue, and Red Lines at the Metro Center. This hotel stands three blocks from the MCI Center, home of the Wizards and Mystics. The hotel is located five blocks from the White House and famous downtown monuments and museums.
Hotel Features.
The hotel features a soaring, glass-topped, 12-story atrium decorated with 20-foot (6-meter) trees and a 7,000-square-foot (650-square-meter) blue lagoon with a two-story waterfall. This hotel offers food and beverage outlets that range from the American-style cuisine of Grand Cafe and grab-and-go fare offered at Zepher's Deli, to a Starbucks Coffee Shop. Guests can also grab a beer and watch the game at the Grand Slam sports bar, or sip some spirits in the martini lounge. 32 meeting rooms offer a total of 42,000 square feet (3,900 square meters) of function space accommodates events. The 24-hour business center houses three computer stations and is staffed during business hours six days a week. The hotel's two-story FIT Club features cardiovascular and weight-training equipment, an aerobics studio, 2 massage-treatment rooms, an indoor lap pool, a spa tub, saunas, heated towels and locker rooms. Garage parking is available nearby at a surcharge along with metered street parking. Guests can also take advantage of the luggage storage facilities offered at the property.

Guestrooms are 364 square feet (34 square meters), decorated warm neutral tones accented with Art Deco detail. Grand Beds feature pillowtop mattresses draped with 250-thread count triple sheeting and down blankets, and topped with a selection of pillows. All accommodations contain minibars and coffeemakers. High-speed wired and wireless Internet access is available for a fee. Rollaway beds are complimentary and available on request for single bedroom types.

The Grand Café - Situated alongside the atrium's meandering lagoon, this casual restaurant serves American fare for breakfast and lunch.
Cure Bar & Bistro - Relax with family, friends and business associates in an atmosphere reminiscent of a rustic lodge. The multi-level Cure Bar & Bistro features high ceilings, stone and oak walls, and open fireplace. An extensive selection of wine, beer and spirits is available along with savory cuisine made from local, sustainable and seasonal ingredients. Open for lunch, dinner and late night dining on weekdays. Dinner and late night dining are offered on Saturday and Sunday.
Zephyr Deli - Open for breakfast and lunch, this casual café with an espresso bar serves freshly baked pastries, sandwiches, salads, and pasta for sit-down dining or carry-out.
Grand Slam - A framed pair of Muhammad Ali's boxing gloves and shorts hang in this sports bar, which offers pub fare, beer and cocktails, and high-definition television with state-of-art sound systems and video games.
Starbucks - Open daily from 6 AM to 8 PM.
Guests receive complimentary access to a two-story health club in Washington Center, an office building connected to the hotel. The club provides cardiovascular and strength-training equipment, an indoor splash pool and spa tub, saunas, steam rooms, and an aerobics studio with kick-boxing, spinning, yoga, and Pilates.
Seven blocks from the Grand Hyatt, Washington's National Mall has a tree-lined walking and running path. One mile (1.6 kilometers) away, the 18-hole golf course at Hains Point is perched on the banks of the Potomac River. There's a two-tier driving range and a miniature golf course that is listed on the National Register for Historic Places.

"Great location"
This is a great hotel in a great location. Our rooms were comfortable and clean. It was walking distance to many restaurants and sites. We easily walked from hotel with our two children (8.5, 10 yr old) to the white house, the archives, the mall, etc... We felt safe walking at night as well to go to eat. You could get to the subway without leaving the […] hotel which was super conveniant. The workout facility was nice and there was no charge which is unusual these days it seems. The pool was small but adequate for kids to play in. It was really, really dirty and cloudy though. There was a small fridge in the room we could keep snacks, waters, etc...I would stay there again. My only suggestion would be to staff the concierge desk with more people. They were overbooked the weekend we were there and there was one person at the desk trying to direct people to sites, etc... The room and hotel were overall great. The pool is small and it cost extra to use the work out room-- but not a large fee. The one part that surprised me was that I'd requested a room for my husband, me and my 11 year old child. I was surprised when they offered me a room with a queen sized bed and did not understand that I would of course need a bed […] for my child. This place was gorgeous and for the price, it was incredible. Very fancy and located close to the DC attractions. We were extremely impressed with the experience and the hotel stay made our weekend trip much more exciting. It was a nice hotel, but the fees for Internet were ridiculously high and the cable tv channels pitiful. I could rationalize $11.99 for Internet for the length of my stay, but not for less than 24 hours.
