"close to Middlebury"
When visiting my child at Middlebury College, I typically stay at Middlebury Inn or Courtyard Marriot but both were full this time. The Swift House Inn was a great discovery that I should have made 2 years ago; closer to the college, more comfortable, better food, and I wish I'd discovered this before!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Beautiful - Comfortable Inn"
We were in Middlebury for a wedding and stayed overnight at the Swift House Inn. Our room was in the Gatehouse and just lovely. Very comfortable and relaxing. In the morning we were treated to a wonderful full breakfast that was included in the overnight stay! "Restaurant is Best In the Area"
Top of the line B&B, like most of the Inns part of the "Select Registry" of North American Inns. The restaurant at the Swift House is a destination itself for "foodies". Classic New England food but top notch. Quaint Bar uses real limes for juice, not a mix. Beef Wellington was a special on our evening and it was perfect.
