This La Quinta Inn is 1 mile from Miami International Airport and 5 miles from the Port of Miami. Downtown Miami is about 5 miles from the hotel, and beaches are within 10 miles.

The hotel provides complimentary airport transportation every half-hour 5 AM - 11 PM daily (hours subject to change). Complimentary transportation is also offered to (but not from) the Port of Miami on advance request. Guests can start the day with a complimentary continental breakfast. An outdoor pool, fitness equipment, and guest laundry facilities are on site, as well as a business center, computer station, and a meeting room measuring 300 square feet (28 square meters).

"Cigarette smoke"

All I can say is I would have never booked this place if the BCS Championship Game was not in town and all my regular hotels were booked up. I guess they can get away with charging these kinds of rates in peak season. The hotel next door (an old Red Roof Inn) was boarded up and the pavement leading into the hotel was like a war zone. We stayed at the LaQuinta Miami Airport just for a one night stay until we continued on the rest of our vacation.
