"Worst hotel we stayed in a long time"
Rooms are small, dark, and musty, the building is so old it should have been torn down and rebuilt long ago. You can hear people in another room talking and watching tv. Front desk person seems to not know/not care much about the hotel procedures nor the requests from guests. To our request to do an early checkout and make sure there are no outstanding […] charges we were threatened with a police.... "Recently bought out..."
This is an older property, originally the "Kings Inn." Heavily built building with double windows, metal siding, and absolutely ancient direct-vent wall furnaces; typical for Alaska construction of it's age. Room and hotel was clean, although the building layout was strange and awkward. They provide a (salt-water!) pool and hot spa; pool was *freezing*, […] hot tub too hot. Beds were new and comfortable.
