Second time staying at this resort. This time we brought along another couple and their two children. Room was layed out a little differently. More carpeting and scuff marks on the walls. In addition televisions were not flat screen LCDs as they were during our previous stay. Probably got the "kid-proof" room. Cigar bar could have used another helping […] hand as the only attendant had to take care of at least 20+ people at once. Tough night for her physically and emotionally. I'm a bit nit picky with the pricier hotels such as this one. All in all a good stay though. Kids loved the resort and wanted to stay longer. Nice golf facilities. Very clean and manicured grounds. We went to Hammock Beach with three other families with children ranging from elementary through high school. Everyone really enjoyed it. The two bedroom condos were great. They have plenty of room with a full kitchen and washer/dryer. They are about a 5 min walk to the main resort/pool. There are multiple pools, a sand volleyball court and a large […] grassy area for playing soccer and such. The beach is a short walk and they supply the lounge chairs. We ate lunch by the pool every day and the food is good. But beware, the adult drinks are pricey. We tucked a few of our own in the beach bag and it wasn't a problem. The tennis courts are over by the marina, so that's about a 5 min drive. We also brought fishing poles and fished in the ponds. As for dinners, we only ate at the Italian restaurant, which was good. There are plenty of other options within a 10 min drive. Read more

its a beautiful hotel, the pool ameneties is great -kids really enjoyed it. Did not appreciate the pool closing at 7pm I'm paying a lot for my stay for the hotel to tell me at what time I need to leave the enjoyment of the pool that I was having with the family. The bar as well closes early I mean most of the resorts I stay at like Gaylord the bar closes at 9pm, adults pool does not close and kids pool at 9pm. Also the slide […] well guess what closes at 6,one hour before all the pool closes.it was just very disapoining!!!! Also the room does not even bring water,toothpaste and every time you want ice we need to call room service which takes for ever. This is a very upscale resort which we were able to book at a fairly reasonable price. It was close to Marineland and St. Augstine. The accomadations were great, as was the staff.

From the moment we turned the corner, stopped the car, mouths dropped open and we all just said "wow", we had SUCH a great time at this gorgeous place, I would def go back again. The staff tripped over themselves to serve us, loved the fresh towels at every turn including a lush terrycloth beach chair protector, plenty of umbrellas and beach recliners […] at the beach, and our view was incredible. Stay on the 3rd floor so that the sun is blocked by the other side of the bldg a little bit, and you can keep your window wide open all day without the room getting too warm. Highly recommend it. This resort is one of the nicest beach resorts in FL. Restaurants were great - service great. There is no tipping at this hotel so it is a "cashless" environment - that made it nice to go to the pool or get our car in and out of valet. Great pool area for both adults and kids. We have been about five times total. We always have fun and enjoy the food that they have in the resort. We have been twice with our five children that age in range from 1 to 15 and they loveit as well. The other three times were for us to just simply relax and it was perfect! Must try to food though.
