"Satisfactory for Price Range"
The best thing about this motel is the personnel; everyone at front desk was very courteous, very helpful, and responsive to requests (I asked to delay checkout time because of an interview and they very graciously accomodated me). For this price range, this is an okay place. I lived in Pensacola and I would not want to stay in a motel in some other […] areas of town (Pensacola Blvd, for instance). This area is very safe and great for accessing Pcolas freeway system. The breakfast was okay, not the best but a little better than the pastries and cold cereal typically comprising a "continental breakfast." Ruby Tuesdays across the street, MacDonald's next door. The bed is very comfortable if you like soft pillows and mattresses (which we did). It's an older motel and had water stains on the tub fixture; okay clean but not sparkling clean. I would consider staying here again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Microtel-Great for Apartment Hunting"
I was in Pensacola because I will be moving there in a few months. Microtel is about 15 to 25 minutes away from many of the neighborhoods and attractions Pensacola has to offer. The room was a little small, but I would definitely recommend it to anyone who will not be spending much time in your room and just need a place to lay your head at night.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Microtel Inn Pensacola, Fl."
The staff was nice. However, the room smelled like mildew, and you could hear everything around you. Including the the people popping popcorn in the room next to you. I will not stay here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"No place for travellers"
I arrived late because I-10 was shut down for 4 1/2 hours in Louisiana. I called ahead to the Microtel in Pensacola at 10 PM and told the clerk about the road shutdown and I would be arriving about 3 or 4 in the morning. She said she would make a note. When I arrived at 0400 the clerk had put me the "no show" category despite the prior notice I had […] given the hotel. He demanded a credit card and insisted I pay for the room. I called Hotels.com who called the hotel and it appeared they made their point to the clerk then told me everything was squared away. The clerk then demanded a credit card for $100 in incidental expenses as the "fax" from hotels.com had not arrived. I could hear incoming phone calls and asked him to check for the fax. The clerk would not budge and I insisted he call the manager or the police. After a telephone discussion with the manager and subsequent conversation with me the “owner” assured me I would get a room and that there would not be an additional charge. The clerk after hanging up on the “owner” asked for $100 cash for incidental expenses. I remained calm and ordered him to give me a room or I would call the local sheriff. He then backed down, then loaded copy paper into the fax machine and printed the Hotels.com authorization. It was 0435 before I was handed the keys to the room. The one I got had broken drapes and it was bright nut I ignored it. I was to meet the manager/owner at 0900 as per our phone conversation. He did not show for the meeting but a very polite young lady apologized for the night clerk and the manager. This incident should be reported to Microtel and the management of Hotels.com needs to follow up on the unprofessional business practices of this hotel or his employee.
