This was the worst overnight experience I have ever had. Kids running up and down the hall all night long and doors slamming. Plus the hairdryer didn't work! The sheets were not even tucked into the mattress I booked a king room and was given the ADA accommodations. I am over 6 feet tall and found this not suitable. "Gross...just gross"
I hate negative reviews, and I'm not sure I've written one before, but this place deserves one. We stayed there last night, and after standing around for ten minutes while the front desk ladies talked publicly about another guests' medical condition, we finally got our room keys. Our "non-smoking room" seemed to be about 800 years old, and stunk terribly […] of old cigarettes. It was like they tried to paint over the stench with 15 coats of orange paint. The pillows were lumpy, the shower wasn't trustworthy enough to use, and the room was 80 degrees when we got there. In general it's an old, beaten down, disgusting motel, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. "Do not be fooled by the pics"
Normally I do not enter bad comments about my hotel stays. However for this hole I make an exception. My recommendation is to stay as far away as possible. Pay that extra money to get a hotel that at least meets with 20th century comforts. Unless you like a swamp cooler for AC; a hard squeaky bed equal in comfort to a cement floor; a cathode ray tube […] for a tv; a primitive cave with 80's decor; and an unfinished feeling (yes the walls look like an after thought), then this is not the place to impress your loved one. It is clean but so are my old rags left in the garage to soak up spilled oil. If you must stay here then limit your stay to one night for a look-see; you can always stay an extra night afterward, but may be unhappy to find you pre-paid for a few days and blew your budget for your holiday. "Didn't expect to be CHARGED for cancelled flight!"
NO EMPATHY FOR A CANCELLED FLIGHT! We were cancelled from DWI to PME and re-routed to Boston. When we called the hotel, they blew us off as no shows and would not give us a break on the night. The only good thing about this hotel was the convenience of the location to the airport. We got stuck in a smoking room with 2 small children and when we asked to be moved we were told we had to pay an upgrade fee. Never again. The room was not bad, but the pool was out of service, something that was not advised before booking. A misrepresentation as far as I'm concerned. The real problems occurred following our stay when we found we had left a book in our room. We made several calls to the hotel. We were promised that they would "look into it," and that someone […] would call us back within a specific time frame. We never, in any instance, received a telephone call. To add insult to injury, one of the people with whom we spoke was incredibly rude. He started arguing with me about what room I was in. What did it matter if I misremembered my room number? "Dirty and unkept"
Stay was not good. Beds were comfy and sheets were clean, that is all that was positive. Service was extremely poor. Room was dirty and damp, bathroom was extremely cramped and mildewy, hotel was in poor condition. We did not feel safe in the least in this hotel, I was there with two girlfriends overnight on our way through Portland. After parking, unpacking our vehicle and being watched by more than one hotel guest we started to feel unsafe.
