We felt a little apprehensive from some of the bad reviews, and when we arrived the front desk clerk was slouched at the front door grabbing a smoke, and there were dirty cobwebs that covered our door, however when we walked into the room we were very pleasantly surprised. Though certainly not fancy, the rooms were comfortable and the staff friendly and helpful. No Kleenex is provided and you have to request an alarm clock from the front desk if your room does not have one. This motel was comfortable and convenient for a one or two night stay. We were in town on business for just one night and were quite satisfied. The room and grounds were clean and well maintained. The little kitchenette was a nice touch. I prefer the bathroom sink to be located in the bathroom, but this sink was located outside of the bathroom. The free wireless internet worked great, and the room came with all basic ammenities...TV, A/C and heat, coffee maker, refrigerator, microwave, etc. The continental breakfast was very very basic. The coffee pot was empty and there were three small bagels left when we went down. There were a few bananas, bran flakes, and a loaf of bread for toast. The breakfast room is in a rather odd location as well. It's in the very back of the motel and you have to travel outside to get to it. Also, the breakfast room and laundry room share a space, which is very tight. I didn't know whether to eat or throw a load in! We had reserved a deluxe room with queen bed but we were given a tiny room with a double bed. Perhaps because we arrived late at night and asked for a room on the first level? The furniture was arranged in an odd manner so it was difficult to use the closet. We stayed there a year ago and we loved the room we had on the second floor.
