"Would highly recommend staying here!"
It was a wonderful, historic place to stay while in New Orleans. The staff was very friendly, and helpful. Location was perfect, away from the noise of the French Quarter, but within easy walking distance. My only negatives would be the breakfast buffet is a bit over priced, and the hot food wasn't very hot. Also, be careful placing any paperwork you […] want to keep in your room. The housekeeping staff will throw it away, even if it isn't placed in a trash can. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
So this hotel is perfect for a couple who ve never previously been to New Orleans! or any couple who appreciate! Romance! It is a gallery, a museum, paranormal activity site (kidding but the city has this spirits so why not!),... Everything is so classic and you ll end up taking photos inside the hotel for at least a couple of ours. Great architecture […] and design. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"NO Hotel of Choice"
I have used this hotel many times. I have tried others in the past, but this is my hotel of choice in NO. Staff is wonderful, rooms wonderfully clean, but small (old hotel), and location is great for walking. Quiet enough area to get sleep, not in the Quarter.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We love the hotel! Great staff, very friendly. Location is perfect for the Saenger theater. One minor complaint is the shower has no water pressure. It took forever just to wet my hair much less rinse the shampoo out. A small price to pay for the overall experience.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice classic experience"
This is a nice older hotel with all the classic vibe you'd expect. The location is great, less than a mile from all the shopping and activities you'd want on Royal or Bourbon. The rooftop pool and jacuzzi are a great touch with a great view. The room was very clean and well-maintained, though there were some spots where it showed its age. Parking is […] valet and $40/night after tax, which is a bit pricey, but you won't need to worry about parking downtown and probably won't need a car once you park. Overall a solid experience, but nothing to blow us away for the price. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Friendly, Upscale, Comfortable"
The staff was very helpful and friendly. The hotel was beautiful and clean. Our bed was comfortable and our room quiet. The location was perfect - within walking distance of all the excitement, but far enough away to sleep peacefully. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would book a room here again if we were to return to New Orleans.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The service was outstanding, and the hotel is beautiful. The rooms are a little small, but well appointed.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"$35 valet service should automatically be included"
Great stay. Rooms were fun with a bordello-like feel. A truly unusual but comfortable hotel. The only thing to watch out for is the additional charges. Basically no options than $35 valet parking, etc. (tips are included in "additional expenditures" so count on about a hundred dollars more a night than basic cost.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Romantic yet conveinent to all sites"
We were treated wonderfully by everyone, and always with a smile :-) The late night peanutbutter and jelly bar was a perfect touch.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
This hotel is amazing. The architectural design is breathtaking, service was phenomenal, and the amenities were very nice. Issues: the window behind the curtain was very dusty and there was a large spider and spider web in the corner although I imagine we were the first to look in that corner for a while. The bathroom floor seemed discolored, but that […] was only slightly off putting. The room a/c was a little noisy, but didn't keep us up at all. The amazing bedding definitely made up for it! I had several unique request through the night that the hotel staff quickly and willingly handled for me. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great elegant place"
We chose this spot on a quick overnight in NOLA. The price was comparable to other nearby options. It turned out to be a pleasant surprise with excellent desk service and great perks. At 10 pm each night, carts roll out in the lobby with PB&J service! I also saw couples and families dressed in their PJs and the loaner thick terry robes enjoying g their […] late night snack. "and a pb&j to boot"
We had a lovely time at La Pavillion in New Orleans. The doorman was charming, the staff sweet, the lobby enchanting, the bar regal and the room quiet and comfortable. It's an easy 15 minute walk to the French Quarter, and the hotel sets up a pb&j bar every night at 10pm for guests to have a taste of home.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"What a haunt!"
This place scared me silly on arrival and I literally reconsidered the three nights I had reserved. The place literally smells as old as it is, comparable to the terrifying feeling you get locked in your grandmother's attic. However after I settled in I realized what a classy place it is. From free (and fast) wifi, to the rooftop pool and the complimentary […] peanut butter sandwiches, Le Pavilion is a true representation of New Orleans. I was really hoping to shell out a full five stars for this one, but my visit to the rooftop deck was tainted by beer bottles from the night before -And the valet kept mysteriously moving my car around the lot to keep spots open for "contract" visitors. "A historic & ornate hotel with a lot of character"
Even though the hotel is showing its age, it has a ton of character, which outweighs the outdatedness in my opinion. While the immediate location isn't very exciting as it's downtown in the business district, it is right between the Garden District to the southwest and the French Quarter to the northeast. It's a good value too.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Right in Style!"
This is a fine hotel, very well located for those looking to enjoy all of New Orleans attractions. By NOT being in the midst of the French Quarter, but rather on its edge, makes for a quieter night and easier access. The room (we had a king size bed in their "standard" room) is small, but works fine. The bathroom could use more counter space or shelving, […] and an extra towel bar, but, again, though small worked fine. The people were great - helpful, friendly. Good place to stay. "Poor maintenance, Decaying Hotel"
Our hotel was a bit of a nightmare. The air conditioning would leak and drip water all over the table. The phones would not work properly. When you press the room service button, it would call random people in the hotel and wake them up in the middle of the night. As a result, i had to go down to the hotel desk to order room service, and then pay the […] bell hop anyways for the delivery! (its not his fault i had to go down to order). The only saving grace was the pool on the roof top which really was spectacular. Otherwise, for the price... look elsewhere. I'm certain you can do much better. I'm the sort of person who doesnt really complain about things... so... take that with a grain of salt when reading this. I was fortunate that the company i had with me eclipsed the hotel experience. My wife and I spent a long 3 day weekend here. It was our 26th wedding anniversary and we always try to spent it in New Orleans. "Beautiful hotel. Service not so great"
The hotel was beautiful and grand, just as the pictured displayed. However, aside from the first hotel attendant who took our bags when we arrived and an anniversary gift from hotel management, the hotel service left a lot to be desired for such an upscale hotel during our 4 day stay. All service attendants seemed more concerned with the Caucasian guests. […] On our second night, my husband and I went to have PB&J sandwiches. I got in line to get hot chocolate, and the attendant didn't even acknowledge me. Less than 30 seconds later, a Caucasian lady came and stood near me, and the attendant practically leaped into action to serve her, asking her if she wanted hot chocolate and grabbing a cup and filling it to the top for her. He then offered to put marshmallows in for her. The lady actually apologized to me because she knew that she went out of turn. The attendant never seemed to notice that he served her ahead of me in error. I grabbed my own cup and asked for hot chocolate. The same attendant filled my cup barely half full and was already talking to a new Caucasian couple approaching the table. Additionally, my husband and I received no greeting or offers for assistance. We would see attendants running ahead of Caucasian couples to open the doors and ask them where they were headed and offering to give directions or recommendations. We never had a door opened for us unless there were Caucasians already ahead of us. Also beware of the high parking fees. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Just a night in new orleans"
The hotel is utterly gorgeous and caught us by surprise. It is an old establishment and had a lot of ornate touches that added to the experience. It is located just outside the bustle of the French Quarter, but it is within easy walking distance of that entire area. The staff were helpful and friendly.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel is absolutely beautiful. Also good location - close to the French Quarter and other tourist spots, but far enough from the major crowd areas to be peaceful and quiet. "Beautiful hotel for our Honeymoon"
We stayed at Le Pavillon Hotel for 8 days for our Honeymoon and couldn't have been happier. The Hotel itself was gorgeous with its over sized doors and hanging crystal chandeliers as well as the murals on the ceilings. The staff was amazing and friendly from the front desk, to the bell staff, as well as the staff in the lounge and the crystal room restaurant. […] The location was of the hotel was pretty perfect. It is only a few blocks walk from Bourbon street which was really nice as well as the Casino and some pretty good restaurants and bars. There was also a stop for the "Hop on, Hop off" bus just one block away which we used a lot to get around the city and reach the areas that weren't an easy walk to get to. The only weird complaint we would have is the ceiling fan light above the bed flickered when it was on randomly. It wasn't a constant flicker that became annoying it was more of a random surprising flicker. We decided to eventually just turn the light out but then it became the opposite somehow, it would randomly flicker on. That became even more surprising. We figured it was somehow due to the lightning storm in the area and didm't even mention it to the staff, we just laughed it off. it didn't happen the entire stay. The room otherwise was beautiful, comfortable and the staff always had it spotlessly clean. We would absolutely stay at Le Pavillon again or recommend it to others. Wonderful.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel was beautiful, and the staff was wonderful. My husband and I went there for our anniversary, and it was a great place to spend it. The only drawback was that the room was a bit smaller than we would have liked; the minibar was so close to the bed that the door of it could not be completely opened. However, we did think the rooftop pool and […] Jacuzzi were extremely nice. Also, the bathroom in the room was awesome! In addition, a movie was being filmed there when we arrived. "Wanted to Love it"
Overall its a nice hotel but had a few issues, like the bathroom was dirty from small things like the small bottles of shampoo and soap only being half full....long hair discovered in the bathtub....worse and most offensive was someone had used the bathroom before we arrived and didn't flush!!! The front desk person was very apologetic but best they […] were willing to do is send up new small bottles of soap and shampoo. By then I questioned how clean the room really was even though the bed was made up nicely....just made it hard to get comfortable. On the plus side they have a nice rooftop pool and bar in the lobby. This was the best hotel stay I have ever had. The service was excellent, and the staff was super friendly and helpful. The room was beautiful, and it had a 46" flat screen tv in it. I wish Le Pavillon could control the weather. We really wanted to enjoy the rooftop pool but between the wind and cool temps I had to pass. Le Pavillon was built in 1907, and if you love hotels with character, this is DEFINITELY the place to stay!
