"Fat Tuesday Wedding"
The hotel was amazing, and the staff was even better. We got an early check in on fat tuesday and because it was our wedding day we felt like they treated us like royalty. The room was amazing. We could not have chosen a better place to stay and we will definatly stay there again when we go back for our anniversary. Thank you so very much for every […] thing. MY now husband and I wanted a romantic getaway for New Years and so we could elope and could have not.picked a better spot! Perfect location, great bar, and very nice rooms. The service from the staff could have not been better and we travel a lot. If there was any complaint at all is that my husband has a bad back and it would have been nice to have […] had a firmer bed. It was not terrible though just as a suggestion. "Our 10th Anniversary"
Excellent hotel and very friendly staff. The hotel restaurant, Criello, where we had our anniversary dinner was exquisite! Would definitely stay here again. Close enough to everything, but, not too close, if you know what I mean. If you go out for breakfast, go to Mena's Palace, a great little diner on Iberville and Chartres. Only a block from the hotel. […] CHEAP, funky, friendly, and a place where locals and tourists, like us, can mingle very well and affordable. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"We will return!!"
My husband and I have spent a lot of time in New Orleans however, had never stayed at the Monteleone. We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. We loved the location. I was concerned that we would hear a lot of street noise but our room was very quiet. We enjoyed the pool area as well.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"THERE ARE BETTER HOTELS IN THE FRENCH QUARTER"
Beware, this hotel pre-authorizes the entire amount of your estimated stay plus $60/day on your credit card. They then charge the full amount of the stay at the end, resulting in at least double the total charge on your credit card for a few days until the preauthorization is taken off. The front desk staff is not very personable or friendly-very cold. […] Valet service is the only valid parking solution. I checked my car out twice and both times found the seats readjusted and my stereo cranked up and radio switched to CD player. Ii was told to let them know 10 minutes prior to get my car when it actually took about 25-30 minutes. Rooms are very small, but well decorated. They are also clean. The hotel is in a very central location near everything in the French quarter. That's good, but makes for a very noisy night until the wee hours of the morning. Not very soundproof. All in all, I would not stay here again. There are too many other nice hotels in the French quarter that are actually a bit less expensive and nicer. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location, historic charm, noisy rooms"
The location can't be beat and the history of the hotel is very interesting. Checking in was a breeze. Our room was large with and updated bathroom. The beds were not super comfortable but do-able. It's an old hotel, so you hear everything in the hallway. My sleep was very disrupted. Between the Bourbon street crowd coming back to hotel at 4-5 am (hotel […] is only 2 blocks from Bourbon) and the maids talking to each other in the hallway starting at 8-9am, I did not find the hotel very restful when in the room. The pool area is unbelievably beautiful. Once again, though, the hotel clientele poorly affected the experience. There was a highly intoxicated young man by the pool who needed to be restrained by a friend. There were no hotel representatives providing assistance at the pool during this event (the bar had already closed). The carousel bar is really unique and fun. Although usually packed, it is a good place to get a night cap and Ernest Hemingway used to frequent it. Also, at check out there was a long line with only 2 attendants. I called to ask for my car to be pulled up from the valet and was told they were "too busy" to pull any cars. I was instructed to come down and stand in line to get my car. This is unacceptable for a fine hotel with a high valet charge to make a customer stand in line for the car. They need a better system. Overall, I would consider staying in this hotel again if I was going for a party weekend, but not if I wanted quiet and excellent comfort. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great...just needs some nips and tucks..."
Great hotel staff...unpacking car, the bellman accidentally smudged one of my shirts...apologies all around...dry cleaned and delivered at no charge the next day. "Old New Orleans Experience"
The hotel was perfect, and just one block from Bourbon Street. If you want to stay in a beautiful old hotel with well appointed rooms, a great bar, a fabulous spa, rooftop patio & pool, nice workout facility etc. then this is your place. Very highly recommended.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Genie in a bottle!"
My recent stay at the Hotel Montleone was great excepte for the size of rooms. I felt like a genie in a bottle. The room had beautiful drapes, fresh paint, lovely marble baths and very comfortable beds. The only thing missing was the size of the room itself. The bathroom vanity and hooks were extra tall. Yet there wasn't any place to spread out.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Upgrade to construction"
what was supposed to be an upgrade since my original place was overbooked, turned out to be a construction nightmare. jackhammers were all I could here throughout the day and the room for the price was no better than a super 8 motel. what should have been a peaceful getaway turned out to be a sleepless nightmare. "Close to all sights-quiet for good nights rest"
Hotel was outstanding. Very classy furnishings, close to all sights, one st. over from bourbon st. (quiet nights rest). Staff extremely nice and knowledgable. Off street parking, and you can keep your car there till 6pm after checkout. Only negative is they don't have a mini bar in the room, just an empty mini fridge, but they do have a bar in the hotel. Enjoyed our stay. It was our first time. Loved the pool area! Enjoyed Marvin, Carousel bartender, who introduced me to the most refreshing libation: French 007! Nothing better to combat the heat! Only issue, although trivial, the size of our bathroom: extremely tight with the marble column protruding. Otherwise would definitely stay again and take the […] front desk's suggestion of an upgrade if offered! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
I stayed at the Monteleon Hotel. The room was the smalles room I have ever stayed in. There was barely room to move around in. I will not stay at this hotel again. The breakfast was very expensive. A small breakfast for two was $50.00 I have never paid $50.00 for eggs and a waffle.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Awesome as always. We loved the bar and the stay was great. See you around ChristmasGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Hotel Monteleone is a great splurge for couples and families. We stayed for my husband's birthday weekend and the location couldn't be better. Our room was on the 10th floor. Very clean and comfortable beds. Lots of towels too. Great shower with plenty of hot water and good water pressure. The only negative thing is there wasn't free wi-fi here. "Memorial Day Weekend 2012"
Over the years (30+) we had heard many great things about The Monteleone and this was our first opportunity to stay there. Pricing was a bit steep for us on a normal basis, but Hotels.com brought it down to a semi-reasonable rate. Still, the quality of the hotel did not justify the extra expense and we were slightly disappointed overall. Service was […] good, but several mistakes with the room and knowledge of the staff was lower than expected; transposed room numbers mandated a return to the check-in area for fresh keys and a different tower, and check-in clerk incorrectly identified where our car would be parked (causing a delay upon checkout). The room was clean but large spots were on the carpet. We incorrectly thought there would be turndown service (expected, not promised). Overall a pleasant experience, located where we wanted to be, but the Omni Orleans (our last stay) equaled or excelled The Monteleone in all categories for $$$ less. Outstanding location, beautiful hotel. Standards rooms a bit small, but still very nice. Only problem with hotel was the water pressure in the bathroom. Horrible water pressure.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Great location! Traditional king room rather small for the price with no real place to sit, one chair in the corner. Spa is very professional with good quality service. Concierge services were very good.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Hotel Monte Leone"
The stay at this hotel was a very pleasant experience. The staff were very polite and accommodating. The only complaint I have would be the quality of bedding. the mattress was incredibly soft and so therefore did not provide a good night's rest. It felt as though it had not been renewed for a while.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great but Crowded"
The Room was nice and comfortable. The toilet did not flush well and you had to hold down the handle for about 2 mins to totally flush, and it leaked at the flush handle onto the floor. Sixth floor room and the view was of a parking lot building across the street. Bed was a King and very comfortable and the A/C keep the room very cool. Shower had great […] pressure. Something must of been going on cause while we were there the Lobby was extremely crowded with people drinking and talking making it difficult to get to the elevator or out the front door. Lines were long at the checking in desk but we did get in fairly quickly. I am sure the hotel will fix the toilet issue and it was minor, and hopefully next time there won't be so many people hanging in the lobby. Could not get a seat at the bar due to the crowd but parking valet was quick and efficient. Only stayed one night and checked out early the next morning. I would stay there again. Even though the lobby was crowded, the floor our room was on was very quite.. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Hotel Monteleone in New Orleans-great location"
The hotel is located one street away from Bourbon St. which is perfect. Royal street is quiet and has loads of antiques shops for browsing, but just around the corner from all the action! "Hotel Monteleone in New Orleans - Charming Hotel"
My wife and I stayed here for our 26th Anniversary, and we were very pleased with this beautiful old hotel. The front desk staff kindly upgraded our room to include a wonderful view of the Mississippi river. The room was decorated with classic southern furnishings, including custom draperies with imported tassel fringe and matching bedding. The bathroom […] was luxuriously appointed, and attention to detail was evident throughout. In spite of the extreme July heat and humidity, our room was wonderfully chilly, as were the common spaces, including the lobby. Our only disappointment with the property was that the restaurants were "Under Construction", and therefore, not open. We will definitely return to the Hotel Monteleone, next time we are in New Orleans. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Hotel Monteleone, New Orleans- best location"
This hotel is right off Bourbon Street but not amongst the Chaos if you need a break from the party. The roof deck pool was fantastic but there were not many lounge chairs and on a busy weekend many people laid on the ground.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We found the staff very helpful and friendly. The room was fantastic and overlooking the mighty Mississippi River. It was quiet. Overall we were quite pleased.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"One word sums up our experience: AWESOME"
The Hotel Monteleone was by far the best hotel to stay in if you're going to New Orleans! The Hotel itself was impeccable, from the staff to the clean rooms, carousel bar, etc, I have no complaints! The location was so perfect that we will NEVER stay anywhere else in New Orleans! Everything, literally everything you want to do in the French Quarter […] is within blocks of HM. Canal (and the streetcar) is a block up, Bourbon is a block over, and Jackson Square is all of 4 blocks away! "Hotel Monteleone - New Orleans"
At first site, my wife was concerned (we entered from the back entrance). Once in the hotel, we were extremely impressed. This hotel is a throwback to a past long gone (hotel staff wears tuxedos and French Maid Uniforms). It was clean, excellent breakfast included, and very good location (one block from Bourbon Street). The front bar features an antique, […] refinished carousel that actually turns (slowly)...VERY COOL!!! Not only would I recommend for everyone, but I am definitely coming back! This was the perfect location and a great hotel for my husband and I on a quick trip to New Orleans. Great service, great bar, great location. Only downside was the hotel restaurant was being remodeled so the hotel offered free continental breakfast. But the breakfast was your ordinarily fruit, toast and cereal bar. It was free, so can't complain too […] much but both times we used it we had to wait for a table. Skip the breakfast and head out for some NO breakfast! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
