we stayed one night, and it was one too many! i have stayed in my share of sketchy hotels, but this one may take the cake! i'm ok with small, older hotels as long as they're clean. our room was very dingy, there is a big hole in the wall, one of the beds tilts at about a 30 degree angle and was very lumpy. the bathroom was pretty scary--the toilet barely […] flushed, the shower was smaller than any i've ever seen (and i've been to europe!) and it looked like it hasn't seen a good scrubbing in a while. the worst part is, my friend saw a GIANT COCKROACH in the bathroom!! he did not tell us about it until the next morning, or i would have insisted on leaving immediately. apparently, it was the size of a hamster, no kidding. we couldn't get out of there fast enough! everyone was very friendly, and the place is very laid back, but i just cannot imagine going there again.... "Run down hotel"
The lights in the room were not working or really dim. We had to scramble our way in the night. TV was not working. We couldn't take a shower as the water pressure was too low. They did have muffins and coffee for breakfast but we just needed to get out as quickly as possible.
