Everyone was very friendly at the front desk area. Checked us in and out quickly. Only complaint was when we got our car back the next day from valet parking, it was so full of bird doo that it was disgusting. I could have parked in the self garage and got 30 minutes free play, did not know until after valeted. But I figured hey it is done and will […] be in a safe dry place, NO! I have stayed at several hotels in New Orleans and Harrah's has the best staff of any by far. Check in and check out was pleasurable. I found the location to be more convenient than I expected. It is in walking distance of the French Quarter, the Superdome and Riverwalk. Very corteous staff, very helpful. The beds were ok, I expectd something better as per other guest comments. In my opinion the beds (matresses)I experienced at the ARIA in Vegas are better. But then again Aria casino is dark and a long walk to the strip. If this hotel (Harrahs) had free wifi I would make it my hero, but it is $11.00 a day. Come on guys! […] Some people may think that all the slot machines are setup the same with the same odds, I don't know. But I really won a few bucks in this one, trust me, in more than one machine. Ok, back to the hotel. They should provide some spoons for the coffee, the hotel should have a small store so that we need not walk so far to get a donut, or snacks. The only choice you have is the casino two blocks away. The lobby is small, the staff well dressed, the walkway that joins the hotel with the casino should be enclosed.
