Everything was great except traffic noise at night, and the time of breakfast. It was from 9 - 11 and we are early risers. They did make coffee for us as soon as we got up and the 2nd day we were given our breakfast of fruit and croissant earlier than 9.

The day manager Alvin was very helpful and informative when I checked in, and directed me to several local points of interested which were awesome. Stayed for a weekend getaway in New Orleans. Nice place. Walking distance to French Quarter. Building old and showing signs of wear, but comfortable and clean overall. Staff very nice. Complimentary breakfast only served from 9-11 am, so we enjoyed coffee and beignets at Cafe Du Monde both mornings of our stay.

The owner needs to give the rooms some attention to bring them up to par. the exhaust fan in the bathroom didn't work, and when I mentioned it, he answered that 'people leave them running and they burn out'. sounds like a cost of doing business to me. In a small room, with no window in the bathroom, an exhaust fan is 'muy importante!'

This funky, charming B&B provides exactly what it advertises - great location, kind and helpful staff, lush garden for relaxation - at a price that can't be beat. Our mattress was a bit saggy. My boyfriend and I were on a cross-country road trip and spending 2 days in New Orleans along the way. The price and reviews of this place were really good so we chose to stay at the Guest House B&B. The guys who run the place are really nice and the B&B has a lot of charm--very quaint, fun and funky. This place is also a block outside the French Quarter, so you need to be aware when walking back at night. This was a very "New Orleansy" b&b...so it helped make our trip great. :) It was in a very good location-- only a few blocks from Bourbon Street & the French Market. The men working there (or maybe who owned it?) were very helpful in assisting us with directions and accommodations. Breakfast was lovely. The only cons were 1) it is a very old building, […] so the floor in our bathroom was sinking in due to rotten boards underneath. 2) Parking is a pain because there are very few parking spaces, so they end up blocking cars in to accommodate all of the guests.
